The blue and white were blindingly beautiful at Buswell Pond a while ago. I thought it might be a bit dreary this morning and this could brighten things up a bit.

Today begins our new #TourTuesday series, where you’ll get a glimpse inside GMGI’s state-of-the-art research institute each Tuesday for the next few weeks. Let’s get started!
Some background: Affectionately known amongst staff as ‘417 Main’, the nearly 6,000sq ft space first opened in October of 2018 and is home to all of GMGI’s research and administration staff. The institute was built by@windover_constructionand was made possible through a $2.7M grant from the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center.
First up, the largest and most centralized lab in the institute, the Molecular Biology Lab. This is where the majority of hands-on laboratory experiments take place, with specialized tasks happening in other, smaller lab areas. (You’ll see those in the coming weeks!) 8tSpmonsgloiredt · [340p – 2/18/21] While there may be a period of light snow early this evening, the ‘main area’ of light snow arrives after midnight. “Steadiest snow” will be during tomorrow afternoon. Very difficult for this pace of snow to cover the roads this time of year. Hence, driving should not be a major issue tomorrow on main roads.* This is one of those snowfalls where you do several measurements during the day tomorrow (And clean off the surface each time!) to get an accurate number. Not that it’s a lot of snow but because of the loss from solar radiation and higher sun angle during the day.

Went over to Marshalls Farm Stand on Wednesday to take a look at the new metal Alpaca made by the talented artist Chris Francis. I love visiting my friends the alpacas when over there. These gentle animals are fun and so cute. Also do not forget the goats, Ben and Jerry.

We love quick “stay cations” at the Cape Ann Motor Inn and it’s perfect beachfront location at the end of Long Beach. Walking by the other day made me miss summer more. Looking forward to booking a quick trip as soon as beach weather is upon us…. although it is beautiful any time of year.
We took a ride to Ipswich River Craft to take a peek behind the curtain, which Pamela was happy to provide. It’s pretty fascinating to see nautical signs at all steps in the creation process. We ordered our own car magnets and will await their arrival! Thanks, Pamela for the gracious tour. Check out the website for additional pictures and ideas.
