We’re cracking the blues safe wide open this Thursday night with the arrival of master yegg Mr. “Big Jack” Ward. Astringent humorist, catarrh master and deep-throated vogellist, he’s got somefin’ for everybody. He’s bringing along that cutie-pie saxophonist, hooligan, and former teen idol Mr. Mario Perrett, too. Gunzel services provided by one of my fave drumblers: Mr. Forrest “Frosty” Padgett.
And, Friday night, John Keegan® and Madhouse will be whooping it up once again At Capt. Carlos. An angry army of ants will be crawling up your leg all night long! See you there!

He’s back! By fopular demand, let’s welcome Mr. John Keegan and his roving band of flesh-eating itinerant musicians. The fearless leader of “Madhouse” will have you quaking’ and shakin’ your tootsies all night long. And he’s bringing along an infectious band of merry men to titillate and tease. We got the fabulous jazz snob, Mr.John Hyde, on the keys and accordion, we have the Irish Ace of Pace, Mr. Benny Benson on the iron lung, we have The unwitting Mr. Brian Alex, on catarrh and vocals, all topped off by the saxophone sorties of the legendary Mr. Marque Earley. Oh, and my wrist is much better, thank you very much! Showtime is 8:30 at the Rhumbline. Where else??

Megan performs with a number of local projects including The Megan McKenzie Band, Big Ol’ Dirty Bucket and SAFETY, to name a few. And Joestays busy with multiple projects as well including the Joe Wilkins Band,Poppa Cigar and Funk du Jour. They found time in there busy schedules to collaborate their talents and bring you a fun, laid back show, presenting a more intimate side of these funky rock n’ rollers!

Magnolia 525 Tavern offers a full bar with unique beers on draft as well as special house cocktails. You can quench your thirst and appease your appetite for good ole’ American fare such as steak tips or pizza, including Gluten Free options.

It’s Fiesta in beautiful Gloucester and Hoodoo Revelator will be kicking off this weekend celebration with a Hoodoo Houseparty at the Dog Bar, 65 Main St in Gloucester this Thursday, June 25th from 9pm til close! Rolling Stones, Creedence, J. Geils, Black Eyed Peas, Paul Butterfield, and much, much more!  Pop in and check out Kevin “The Rattlesnake” Haney movin’ and shakin’ and playin’ (and howlin! ) for your entertainment! On g-e-e-t-a-r will be the very talented Dan “Moe” Moriarty, who can keep up with the best of them! Glen Asaro will be wailing on the harp while Bob Clinton (of Joe Cocker fame!) will be tearing it up on bass. I’m psyched for this week! My electrolytes are running high, so, let’s get to it! This Thursday our martini-induced conglomeration starts with that Maine mind-melter, Mr. Jon Ross, on catarrh and vocals.It’s been a while since we joined forces and the chemistry has always been bubbly.

Not only that, but Mr.John Cameron has taken time off from slicing his fingers in his shop to join us on the typewriter. Keys, that is. Always a pleasure. And Mr. Chris Rivelli, of RFB fame, is diving in for eggbeating sorties that will have you running for cover. Gwan be a great time!
Now Sunday, why not spill your drink all over your flip flops dancing to the groovy sounds of Mr. Orville Giddings and company at the Mile Marker? I’ll be there with the likes of Mr. John Cameron (again!),and L’il Steevee Chaggaris, on drummps. It’s a great place to have light indigestion and several strong drinks while waiting for summer to happen. hours: 6 to 9. Semi- nudity advised.
