Saturday Evening 6pm
January 18th, 2020
(Inspection 4pm-6pm / Day of Sale)
1 Kondelin Rd. Gloucester, MA – 01930
NO INTERNET BIDDING – NO RESERVES!
We know there’s Snow Scheduled for Saturday, so please be reminded of our policy which is…Rain, Snow or Shine! The auction is on. We’ll ONLY cancel if the roads are closed, in which case, the extreme weather date is Sunday, 1/19/2020 – same time.
Obviously we are late out of the gate on pictures and descriptions for this auction. This is due to the fact that we just had our First Vintage Flea Market last Sunday! If you were there, you know it was a huge success and extremely well attended! Thank You.
However, this means we’re a bit behind in our auction promotion! This is the reason you don’t see pics or a detailed item description in this email. BUT just know that we’ll have our usual 200+ lots of vintage items, antiques, furniture, art, coins jewelry and much more!
If time permits, we may have a more complete listing available by the time our reminder email goes out on Saturday morning.
You can also check out our website at CapeAnnAuction.com
or our listing on Auctionzip.com for updates
There is a 15% buyer’s premium. Cash, known checks and credit cards are accepted (no extra charge for credit card use).

It was a really pretty night for last evening’s special events: the Schooner Festival Mayor’s Reception hosted at Maritime Gloucester and the Main Street Block Party.
Mayor Romeo Theken with Daisy Nell. Mayor Theken holds a new original Sam Parisi painted oar that would be auctioned off later for the Schooner Festival. I heard Senator Tarr but did not hear the results!
The connecting dock between Maritime Gloucester and Solomon Jacobs Park is awesome!

Rumors of my death are greatly exagerated – Mark Twain
The above Mark Twain quote is one of my favorites and I’ve wanted to use it for a long time. I’ve never had a reason to do so – until now.
Recently you may have heard that Cape Ann Auction was going out of business. Let me put those rumors to bed.
Cape Ann Auction is NOT going out of business.
Far from it!
Last August we opened the Cape Ann Auction Emporium at 8 Lexington Ave in Magnolia.
That store has been very busy. As many happy customers will attest we are stocked with a lot of great treasures and all prices have room for dealers to make $
Between the store and the many house-calls we’ve had for buying merch., it’s been necessary to slow down our schedule for auctions & other events.
At any given time we may announce an auction, but the growth of the store is demanding all of our energy right now.
In fact:
It looks like we’ll be expanding to a bigger space next door to #6 Magnolia Ave! More on that as it develops.
Also in the wings is a revamp of our 4000+ page website at http://www.auctionwally.com
and our http://www.capeannauction.com
The sites will be more interactive with planned special events at the store!
What’s New in the Store?
We’ve recently acquired a nice selection of fine art:
Vera Eugenia Andrus (1896-1979)
Well known Rockport MA artist
We have 8 of these large hand-carved panels by a Russian artist.
What can we do for you?
Do you want to sell your quality items?
We just sold this Guy Bardone ($2,000) for a client and we can help you sell your fine art too!
Something for everyone!
We do have plenty of bargain price deals such as our
“All for One Price Outdoor Sale Table”
Right now, we have dozens of antiques & collectibles on that table at $3.00 each or 2/$5.00
We would GREATLY appreciate it if you could help us out and spread the word on Facebook, Twitter, OTB, email,… carrier pigeon.
