Myron Lepine Bundles Up For The Cold Weather

It’s been nasty cold the last couple of days.  Not that I have to tell any of you reading this if you’re from Gloucester.  We’ve all been breaking out the heavy winter gear early and there has been ice on the floor in the morning which is not a good sign for the lobsters as when the water temperature drops to a certain level, they really slow down.

Skate Wing Ghosties

Toby Burnham, skipper of the Jupiter II brought in these “Ghosties”  they are actually pieces of the cartilage of a skate wing that are unaltered but look just like characters from Casper The Friendly Ghost.

Suzie Byrd’s Juvenile Lobster Photo II

In this picture you can see the juvenile lobster measures only 4 inches long.  Thanks Suzie for sharing the picture.   Suzie is going to work on her very own blog (with some encouragement from you know who).  i think she’ll quickly develop a huge following.  between her art and experiences fishing, slime eeling and lobstering she’s got lots of stories to tell.
