An intimate setting, make reservations early if you want to eat here. The place fills up for a reason- the killer food that Ken and Nicole prepare in the heart of East Gloucester.

Well Ken and Nicole’s Joint isn’t exactly new any more but they still pump out the incredible food that garnered them this award. They have a fairly unique to these parts concept of allowing you to order half portions of meals. It’s a great way for folks to order a bunch of different things and sample them all.

I took a ride down Main street to see if anyone had changed or added to their Flowerboxes this morning. It provided a good opportunity to catch up on the new facade improvements at Passports. Fresh painting done by Katherine Richmond painting.

Beer is good. I bought my first growler yesterday. The heffeweisen. By the time you read this hopefully I should have enjoyed a couple of pints.

In addition to being able to sample the free offerings from Cape Ann Brewing Company there is something else you can get there free- WiFi. That’s pretty badass!

Indigo in Hamilton Crossing is yet another joint from the Grammas, Cala, McDonough team. After getting a Fathers Day massage at Elements in North Beverly I stopped in the bar at Indigo for a glass of red wine and a brick oven pizza featuring carmelized onions, roasted red peppers, jalepenos, and home made sausage.
With the Sox on the TV, my glass of wine and this excellent pizza it made for a fantastic Fathers Day.

Here are some of the tanks used to brew at The Cape Ann Brewing Company. I was astounded when Mike Beaton told me how much they invested in the place.
It’s a whole lotta dough. About three times what I would have guessed.

I was blown away yesterday when I went to a meeting and had absolutely no idea that the The Manor Inn Steakhouse had this view. How many times have I driven past and never knew that this view existed?
It’s spectacular and the food they served us was out of this world. If it wasn’t for the meeting I would have snapped a few pics of the food for you but there are some places I just don’t whip the camera out.
As always click the picture and then select “all sizes” to see it blown up.

With a large deck off the back, this is the perfect place for a good sized event with its open vistas across the river and gentle breezes.
Classy with a gazebo for on site weddings.
I still can’t believe I never knew this existed but I sure as hell do now. It’s a view I won’t soon forget.
