Gloucester Early 1900’s Post Cards

Post Cards of Gloucester in early 1900’s from a friend’s Private Collection.  The collection is a treasure of over 600 post cards ranging from 1905 – 1960’s.  I am capturing them electronically (scanning) to preserve the images.

I selected a few that you might enjoy.

13th Green Correction [Motel Roof]

GMG subscriber from Indiana indicated it was not the 13th Green but the 3rd green.

To keep up the high standards of GoodMorningGloucester, please accept my apologies.   Play slideshow

I am including a slide show with additional photos.  Tracey the owner even had insurance adjusters waiting to help her get things back in shape for the summer season.  All the rooms were checked to ensure no further damage occurred.  The major issue was the rubber roof aloft onto the gold course.  The air-conditioners were in bad shape on the roof.  I am also including some photos from trees that came down further down on Atlantic Rd.  Hopefully everyone is back on-line with electricity, and ready for the next burst of weather coming our way.

Bass Rock’s Motel Roof ends up on 13th Green

Part of the Roof blew off in Thursday’s storm, and also up-rooted a tree on the 13th green at Bass Rocks Golf Course.  Some Golfers were happy the tree is gone, but Tracey the owner of the motel was not thrilled about the roof.   Click on photos to enlarge.

This video, features:

  • The first Sun rise of the New Year
  • Contagious Laughter
  • Wardrobe Malfunction [Edited for GMG]
  • and a JFK Quote

 Hope you enjoy it.
