Wednesday at the Topsfield Fair

Rick and I took Wednesday off to go to the Topsfield Fair.  A perk to getting older is getting a senior discount at the Fair.  Been going to the Fair for years and what is reassuring it never changes.  It does add some features.  Essex Agricultural and Technical had a new event.  It was excellent.   Audrey’s Florist had a beautiful exhibit and won a ribbon.  Seaview Farms was there as well. Melissa Cox received 1st Prize for her photo with the Red Stairs.  My favorite are the Belgium Draft Horses.

Rick and I went to pick up our turkey at Seaview Farms on Tuesday.  We took a walk to visit some of the horses.

Seaview Farms

When going to Seaview Farms in Rockport take a walk to the paddocks and visit these beautiful horse.  Brody is actually blind, but is very gentle.  Please make sure when visiting Brody you speak softly and put your hand out for Brody.  I love the horse that was staring at me.  Forget this horse’s name, but very friendly and so actually trying to come with Rick and I.

Improvements to the property continue at Fieldstone Show Park since last September–leaving no area unattended and promising utopian conditions and a beautiful setting for top level show jumping.  Olaf Petersen, Jr. will be returning again to set the courses in the Grand Prix Ring and Nick Granat will be returning to care for Ring II and the World Equestrian Center’s YJC young jumper ring.

Saturday was a beautiful day, it seemed that everyone was out, and enjoying Good Harbor Beach, not just people walking their dogs, but their HORSES.

Munch-Kin and Jessie from a far, looked like two very very large dogs, and they also enjoyed the good weather at the beach.
