On Sunday the weather went through many different weather patterns. We had rain, sun, clouds and sometimes it was raining and the sun out at the same time. On Shore Road, Sunday afternoon there was a faint rainbow. Love New England weather.

Gloucester Meetinghouse Foundation Series Annual Bach Birthday Concert
The next event in the 2023-24 Gloucester Meetinghouse Foundation Series is the annual Bach Birthday Concert on Thursday, March 21st at 7:30pm. It will feature the The Bach Project at Ashmont Hill Chamber Music under the direction of Andrew Sheranian performing the Brandenburg Concerto #5, the great Prelude & Fugue in B-minor for organ solo, and the delightfully humorous Coffee Cantata. March 21st is the actual birthday in 1685 of Johann Sebastian Bach, generally regarded as one of the greatest composers of all time. The historic 1806 Meetinghouse, home of the Gloucester Unitarian Universalist Church, is located on the green at 50 Middle Street where event parking is available. A side entrance at 10 Church Street offers a lift for persons with disabilities. For those unable to attend in person the concert will be simulcast and available afterwards on the GMF YouTube channel. Tickets are available at the door and online, with more information at www.gloucestermeetinghouse.org

As our fun Sunset Group met on Shore Road, the Eastern Point Lighthouse was shining.

This little guy came onto to Magnolia Beach to rest on Saturday. Rebecca who is the from the Shellfish Constable Office, with a background in sea mammals, came to do a well check on this young seal. Rebecca was very efficient and knowledgeable with regards to making sure this young gray seal was safe. She explained to beach walkers to stay at least 150 feet away from the seal, especially dogs off leash. The seal can get very stressed with dogs and people getting too close. Faith from the animal control stayed with the seal to make sure the seal was safe. Both of these city employees showed compassion for the seal and explaining to people why to stay away. The seal can get very stressed with dogs and people getting too close.

What a beautiful way to spend a Sunday morning. The waves were fantastic along with the sunshine. We are so lucky to walk and take a wonderful look at mother nature.
Shore Road and the Back Shore

This little bird hit my front door on Thursday. I picked this little one up and let the stun of hitting the window go away. After a few minutes the little bird was able fly away.

We got through the darkness this winter and the sun will shine later in the evening.

Even though the weather has been iffy this week, there is always time for a quick walk to Magnolia Landing.

Sunday was another New England day. Rain, wind and then there was another incredible surprise sunset.
Before the sun went down.

After

When Rick and I went to Disney in October it was so much fun. Of course, one of my favorites was staying right at Animal Kingdom. The animals roam around the preserve free and happy. We took a photo safari and saw so many wonderful animals. This giraffe, Maple, was one of my favorites. She came right up to the Safari truck and looked right at me. Took her photo and put this on a hanging blanket. Just love her face and her gentle spirit.
Glad I always have my camera with me. Also thank you Kimberly, my daughter for the photo.
