My View of Life on the Dock

This year we’d like to celebrate the holiday season by coming together and working to give back to our community, we’d love your help! Wellspring, a local charity, is looking for donations to provide families in need with gifts and support this holiday season.
From now until December 6th, we will be collecting donations at our showroom in Gloucester. We’ll also be selling raffle tickets at our holiday party for a chance to win prizes and give back to the community at the same time. All proceeds will be donated to Wellspring. Join us as we come together to celebrate. All are welcome.

The biggest problem I face now that I’ve gotten older and my metabolism has slowed is over eating out of boredom. When not kept in check, if I’m sitting around and there’s a bag of nachos, that bag of nachos is going down without me even thinking about it. Heading for a ride? Stop off on the way and grab a couple of slices of pizza to carry me over til the next meal.
These are unnecessary. I enjoy them, but they are unnecessary.
So the plan on my “Not eating like an a$$hole” diet has been to make sure the fridge is stocked with healthy alternatives when the hunger pang strikes.
Yesterday was one of those days when I couldn’t get away from the dock but I was prepared.
One of the go-tos has been Boars Head deli turkey that I’ll go to the fridge and take out a slice or two. Very versatile. Also packets of tuna.
Around mid-day I was hungry. Shredded up some sliced turkey, ripped up a couple of slices of bacon and mixed in some salsa.

Was it a masterpiece? No, but it saved me from reaching for something that would have put me off track and it was tasty.
Being prepared and having some healthy options goes a long way to keeping on track.
Another move is when I’d normally go to the fridge to grab something to snack on, I pour myself a glass of water instead.
Down 5.5 lbs in 14 days.
The goal is 190.
For the fall art exhibit at the Rose Baker Senior Center, Juni Van Dyke, Director of the Art Program at the Center, is honoring a group of artists: Mary Rhineland McCarl, Ed Leavitt, Marion Linden, Helen Burgess and Gen McNamara. The artists and Juni are pictured below in front of the exhibit. The public is encouraged to stop by the Center between 9am and 4pm any weekday to see the work of these accomplished artists.

Gloucester MA Dentistry Practice.
When was the last time you had fun at your dentist office?
No MUZAK up in this mother. They’re playing classic hits, the dentist chairs have use controlled heated and massage elements, you don’t have to put that nasty mold in your mouth with the gooey stuff making you want to gag when they take x-rays or making molds, they do their stuff with the latest digital imaging.
The staff is young, hip and friendly. The décor is straight out of Restoration Hardware. The place is straight buttah. Check them out unless you prefer old school dentistry and directly correlate how much pain you have to endure with the level of dental care you receive.
I can’t say enough about Dr Leif and his staff.
Check Them Out On Facebook-
Please note. I did not say who makes the best meatballs I can order at a dine in restaurant. Who makes the best meatballs-to-go?

I tend to get a lot of questions regarding the most effective way to manage pain. Is a topical treatment better than supplementing with the oil? Is there a certain amount I should be using? How long will it take to kick in?
Firstly I would like to note that the best way to treat pain is typically by attacking it from both sides (an external application as well as an internal application). This can be achieved by pairing a low to moderate dose of oil under the tongue in addition to applying a pain cream to the affected area. The benefits of using both oil and cream is that you will need much less of each product to achieve pain relief. Additionally, when using the oil, it enhances the effect of the topical treatment so as to make it more potent, and last much longer.
That being said, it…
