Video- Dolphins Swimming off Cape Ann
Pat Emanuele Submits-
Tuesday afternoon as I was leaving Rockport Harbor to head back to the Annisquam River I noticed some chop off in the distance. Assuming it was fish jumping I drove over only to find a large pod of at least one hundred dolphins swimming between Rockport Harbor and the break water.

I See Your Matching Sunrise and Raise You Two Matching Sunsets!
John Wheeler writes-
So Paul Morrison and Paulie Walnuts took pictures of the sunrise Saturday within minutes of each other. Saturday I went to the rocks off Old Penzance Rd. to get shots of the moon rise at Thachers Island. The moon was covered by clouds, which turned into great sunset pics. I believe my sunset shot facing west, is the same sunset taken by Gloucester Bytes from Niles Beach.
The clouds over Thachers Island was taken at 19:12:03
The sunset picture facing west was taken at 19:13:03
My camera is 3:39 fast, compared to my computer.

Cape Ann Animal Aid Pet of The Week–Tosh
My name is Tosh, I am a short-haired grey-and-tan boy kitten who is 11 months old. I am very gentle and a little scared of noises, but once I am adopted and in my new home, I think I will be just fine!
I am at the Cape Ann Animal Aid (CapeAnnAnimalAid.com) in Gloucester and just love the staff and volunteers here. The new shelter will be completed this year, but I hope to be adopted long before that. Please make note that Dog Day is Sunday, September 18, our Golf Tournament is Monday, October 17 at Bass Rocks Golf Club and Rockport Harvest Fest is Saturday, October 15th from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. in downtown Rockport. A family-focused event featuring live music, food andart activities for kids. My moto is, if it isn’t fun, just don’tdo it! Here is your opportunity to have lots of fun!!!
Pacific City Oregon Doesn’t Have A Local Dory As Beautiful As Ours So They Use Len Burgess’ Photo of A Gloucester MA Grand Banks Dory In Their “Dory Days” Promotion
Len Writes-
Pacific City, Oregon, used my Gloucester Dory shot for
its ‘Dory Days’ promotion. I guess it hasn’t got a ‘real dory’ there…
–Len Burgess
No credit to Len for the photo- poor form but I guess when they are so lazy that they use a Northeast Grand Banks Dory to represent a Northwest festival that’s what you get. I wonder how many other times the web person for the Visit Pacific City website grabs other peoples photos without crediting them?
Hi Joey, here’s the original…

see, was that so hard^^^?
Topfield Fair’s Mrs. Essex County Pageant Seeks Contestants
From the Hamilton Wenham Patch-

Through the years, hundreds of women have entered the contest for the honor of representing the Essex Agricultural Society at local events and serving as hostess of the Topsfield Fair. It is not a beauty competition – the Mrs. Essex County Pageant invites entries of married women living in Essex County, over the age of 18, with general appearance, poise, outgoing personality and spirit of volunteerism.
