Michael O’Leary
“Join us for a Holiday Celtic music session at the Dog Bar Sunday evening, 5:30-8:30 – I’ll be joined by David de la Barre, Linda Shields Swicker and Adrienne Howard – and rumor has it that Stringman Steve Levy will be joining us as well, so them strings will be singin’!”

TMax opened The Minglewood Shuffle then Lynn Taylor, Steve Caraway, Mosey Greams, Bradley Royds, Ric Saint Germain and The Tree House Charlatans (who sat in for Jake Pardee who couldn’t make this event). It was an excellent night of live music at Minglewood. Each performer brought something different to the stage, originals, new songs and a few covers and each one was on fire. Be sure to check out the next shuffle on the third Thursday of the month and that is on January 15th 2015.
Here a little clip of some of our jovial Gloucester Firemen

Tonight, we welcome a number of local artisans and retailers to set up shop in 7 CENTRAL for our first Sip ‘n Shop event. Get your last minute shopping done while enjoying live music by John Rockwell and cocktails specials throughout the evening!
local artisans and retailers including: One Ocean Arts, mimi, Sweetwater & Company, Ocean Chic Boutique & Waterbar, Memory Layne Creative, and J.Hilburn.

It’ll be good to have back Mr. Greg Lutrell this Thursday night. Just back from six months in in China, Greg’s bringing his wok and giving a demonstration on it’s use between sets of excruciatingly endocrining-inducing blues. He plays to die for and sings like an banshee in heat. You’re gonna love it. Our international composition also includes Mr. Benny Benson, our Irish Ace of Pace, on drummps, and your favorite Polish-Italian bassist: me. Ask your doctor if Dave sag’s Blues Party is right for you. Do not attempt to drive or operate heavy machinery whilst under the influence of three chords.
And, by the way, if I don’t see ya: Merry Xmas or Kwanza or seasonings greetings!

These legendary Vermont Rockers are bringing the funky fury back to Gloucester this Friday. If you missed them in October, this is your chance!
Their sound and energy is a cross between Led Zeppelin and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, with a funky blast of Green Mountain soul thrown in the mix.
A national touring act, Gang of Thieves is coming to you live in support of their NEW ALBUM: THUNDERFUNK, recorded in Berkeley, CA with Grammy Award winning engineer Michael Rosen (Santana, Rancid, Less than Jake). The Gang was also recently nominated for “Rock Act of the Year” by the 2013 New England Music Awards, and Best Funk Group by 7 Days “Seven Daysies” contest.
“Gang of Thieves, you’ve really done it this time. Soaring guitars, early 90s grunge style vocals, Flea level basslines, and a mix of funk and rock to make a party a rager… you [gave] us Thunderfunk and it’s just another damn level.”

Well, it’s time for that most holy trinity of wise guy men: the Three Stooges of the East. (Boston, that is…). I do mean the perspiring trio of Edd Scheer, Ricky Russell ,and Mario Perrett. These guys are the Hamburger Helper® of the blooze. With them around, anything can happen, and usually does. Ed’s an amazing singer and frontman who always puts out the grease to make my head spin. Throw in Ricky on gootar and vocals and things brighten up. Add Mario, former teen idol, on vocals and sax and what’s left? Chaos! But, seriously, folks, these are my favorite guys cuz we all get a chance to sing and play more stupid songs than are necessary and to have random harmonies to boot! Come see!

Ho, Ho. Ho! Marry Christmas with music, and what do you get?…The gift that keeps on giving, even during your nightmares. In the spirit of Xmas passed and presence, I offer you my favorite crowd- stomping musical buddies this coming black lung season, so, let’s get going!
This Thursday nite sees the return of that comedic, string-biting master of guitar and harp: Mr.Chris “Stovetop” Brown. Long a mainstay of the Rhode Island and Boston scene, his antics and dry humor will have you on your worst behavior! Forrest “Frosty” Padgett, drum-dribbler and all-around go to guy handles the boom booms. I’ll be the object of derision. Phew! what a nite!
Sunday, I’ll be re-living the nightmare at O’Reilly’s Bar in Newton. With Chris and a cast of thousands. Call for info.

Monday, I’ll be at the Rose Baker Senior Center, once again with the Good Old Salty Jazz Band. From 1 to 3, we’ll be playing all your favorite traditional jazz standards for the prune juice crowd. It’s free!
