The ones At Minglewood are great. I’m just wondering if I’m missing a good one around town.

We had not been to Charlie’s Place on Bass Ave in a while and it felt like the perfect choice for lunch during holiday week. The neighborly atmosphere and reliable food are what drew me that day and every time we go. The service is friendly and efficient (as it needs to be with people waiting most times we go). There’s something on the menu for almost everyone. Jim started with fish chowder. I had the Gloucester Fish Sandwich and Jim got a favorite grilled cheese and tomato. Honestly, I was looking forward to dessert most of all so I ordered blueberry pie. When it arrived, it wasn’t a photogenic slice but you can see from the remains that it was a “real” blueberry pie.
