Join your favorite non-profits this weekend as we clean up our coastlines, the harbor, and our beaches. In honor of last week’s World Ocean Day, Maritime Gloucester, Gloucester Marine Genomics Institute, Gloucester Gig Rowers, UMass Amherst | Gloucester Marine Station, and Ocean Alliance have teamed up for a community-wide volunteer effort.
Depending on the numbers of volunteers, various land-based locations will be covered. Gloucester Gig Rowers will be cleaning by boat, and boaters are welcome to join in! Once you sign up, you will be given location information!

Good afternoon all:
Hope this beautiful day finds you well.
When: Saturday, June 18, 2022
Time: 09:00 – 10:00
Where: Rogers Street, since the altar is going up at St. Peters Square we could meet at Harbor Loop. We need to get near Fitz Henry Lane’s House to clean and up to the corner of the State Pier.
Please bring gloves and if you have pickers that would be great and I have yellow bags.
Thursday at the Rhumbline: Ms. Cheryl Arena. This premier vocalizer and harpist will have you splitting your pants and puttin’ Jethro on Deathrow! With a PHD in spermodynamics, you’ll be doin’ the “Freddie” in no time! Come see for yourself. Backing her up will be Mr. Mike DiBari, (again) on catarrh. and L’il Steevee Chaggarug on the skins, both veterans of the DaveSag exalted sidemen blister pack. Great bar food. too, Hours 7 to 10.
40 Railroad Ave. Gloucester, MA
Thanks to the people in Gloucester that are making it happen again in Gloucester. Thanks for understanding that the restaurant scene downtown is what’s bringing people there to shop and activity breeds activity.
We needed a few fresh vegetables and stopped by Lattof Farmhouse Kitchen on Main St. in Rockport since we were out on a drive. I was impressed with the variety and freshness of the fruits, veggies and baked goods at the farmstand. On a previous trip, we were delighted by the Kitchen so a stop at the farmstand was inevitable. The pricing is reasonable, the staff friendly and helpful. Another great option for Cape Ann!
