Current Nia Routine: Motown
Come join us as we revisit a routine celebrating the great music of Motown. You will sing along and groove to the tunes like Superstition, Baby Love, and more.
Moving to Heal NEW TIME Thursdays at 1:30 PM
Moving to Heal Nia is a slower, less intensive class with less standing and more done in the chair. Great for people with injuries or conditions that make it hard to participate in a classic Nia class. Also good for people getting back into exercise. For more info on Moving to Heal, see the info and videos on my web site or click here

Saturday, April 9, 2022, 7pm, Dolan Performing Arts Center, Ipswich HS,
High Street, Ipswich MA, (Snow date Sunday, April 10, 2pm)
David Benjamin, Nalani Fujiwara and Bob Rick, Directors
Three local concert bands are preparing an exciting Cape Ann Festival concert combining the musicians of the Cape Ann Community Band, Ipswich Community Band and the Rockport Legion Band on Saturday, April 9, 7pm, at the Dolan Performing Arts Center at Ipswich HS. The snow date will be Sunday, April 10, at 2pm. Each of the band directors have extended invitations to their players. Those players will contribute to a true regional effort to provide a free concert featuring a large ensemble which will resonate as a true festival of our musical Cape Ann community.
The program is geared toward community players and the music represents varying levels of ability; there’s something for everyone. Players will prepare for three weeks in March, beginning on Monday, March 21, at 7pm, at the Ipswich High School Band Room. Each of the three directors will share in conducting the program.
Each of the bands is seeking support from the local business community and individuals to help meet the expenses to produce this concert. All are encouraged to “help us if you can.” Support is sought from each of the bands’ business communities. This concert is sponsored in part by the Ipswich Cultural Council; funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council LCC Grant Program.
Donations can be made out to:

The morning after a snow storm is so beautiful. Enjoy

Winter walks and drives after snow storms February 15 and February 26, Gloucester, Mass.

Thinking about all the colors in snow with light and shadow, and artists impressions of white, prompted a brief mission to Cape Ann Museum followed by a Rockport confirmation pass. (I know the Motif has been rebuilt and situated, and the Hibbard hill is fancy. Still. The thrill of tracing is immediate here!)

Cape Ann and Monhegan Island Vistas, CAM temporary exhibition did not disappoint and marked a rare stop since pre-covid. In January 2021 I was masked and looking at another Hibbard on display at CAM.
