All I can say is that sometimes you just happen to kayak to the right place at the right time! Early this morning as I’m paddling into Half Moon Beach, I hear this angelic voice singing in Sicilian, che bella voce! There’s a team with her recording. Of course I have to go over and say buon giorno.
Turns out it’s Boston’s own Sicilian-born Sissy Castrogiovanni, Italian award-winning jazz singer and composer, recording today on the beach since sunrise!
Her first album, “Intra Lu Munnu” as well as her latest, “Terra”, are available on Spotify and are beautifully sung in her Sicilian dialect. Of course she loves Gloucester!
