Several friends have shared this stunning photo from http://www.sciencephotography.com. To the naked eye, a Monarch Butterfly egg is the size of a pinhead.

This is very interesting. I got excited and have been tracking the number of Monarch butterflies coming through my yard this year. I haven’t been able to see any eggs, caterpillars, chrysalis are any new butterflies but I did buy milkweed so I could try next year.
