In a recent maritime disaster two freighters collided and sank while headed for the Benjamin Moore paint factory. One was loaded with red pigment, the other with blue pigment. Both crews were marooned.

Not to be pedantic but that’s my middle name. That is a ferry on the left. The Queen of Victoria stabbed by a Russian freighter named Sergey.
And good jokes always teach you something. I did not know how to make maroon. Now I do. Forever. 🙂

I wondered if someone would be persnickety enough point out that I just used the first image of two ship colliding that I could find. Now I know. Forever.

At around noon on August 2nd 1970 the Russian freighter Sergey Yesenin ran into the Queen of Victoria in Active Pass. The bow of the Russian ship cut almost half way through the ferry.
