This guy.
At Market Basket. Close to the front door. Not way far away.
You sir are a douchebag.
Who does this? Like what kind of human being takes up two parking spaces close to the front door of the busiest parking lot in town? Do you think this person has a single friend?

Do they think their car is so special? This is when I want to put a note on their windshield but would be afraid they would litter.

I would like to think the way other cars were parked when they arrived was the cause of parking this way. The large trucks and suv’s sometimes are so close to the line, I can not get my door open enough. However that’s how I try to think, rather than outing someone in public when I don’t know.

I crossed out the license plate so there’s no outing other than pointing out the sheer selfishness.

Some people are just so arrogant and thoughtless, really makes me cross!
I’d actually love to see that car keyed. I’d laugh.

I had to park a little bit over the line one day because of the way the others were parked. When I came out, I got an ear full from a guy walking by. The other cars had left and it made me look like the idiot. Clearly, this is not “a little bit over the line.” This person did this on purpose.

Two comments
1. I get hit by shopping carts or shopping bags every time I’m in market basket.
2. I’ll bet it was by this person!
Common sense?

Seems to me there are more important things going in our world to worry about someone taking up two parking spaces.

That kind of simple rude ,entitled, disregard to others is not cool. Are there more important things, sure, but this is clearly obnoxious.

I’m amazed at the amount of comments this post has received in “the book.” It’s quite obvious that about 97% of those that liked or commented agree with Joey 100%. Some even thought he should have kept the lisence plate displayed. Those that became extremely sensitive to the topic need to chill. The term bullying is tossed around too often. Those that were “offended” by the post had no issue insulting the author (in turn “bullying” him). It’s a disgusting cycle. It seems to me this was nothing more then a light hearted post that was assumed to be a negative attack on the driver of some random white sedan. Come on- who doesn’t see someone parked like that and automatically think “wtf?” Someone even wrote aren’t there worse things in the world going on then this?” Absolutely there are- so why be so disgusted with this post when our next president is taking about his penis size?

I think my biggest concern would be this person may be under the influence to miss the space this much? Tell the store manager and he or assistant manager would deal with it either though a intercom or call to parking enforcement or Traffic unit. Over our way we have issues with folks speeding through the parking lot 5mph but see a spot it’s like who can get there first. Or talking on a cell phone while driving with on hand trying to turn (Primary offense cell phone on installation and can get a 30 day suspended driving first offense)! And of course unlawful parking, Handicapped, fire lanes and non designated parking loading zones etc…
I remember fire lanes and handicap slots were enforced heavily for public safety I have had to deal with a few folks in handicapped zones oh I only be in the a couple of minutes sorry move the car. I learned some new words when I asked them nicely to move. We also have a parking warden program where other’s are trained for parking infractions and can issue a citation for the Air Force that would mean a DD form 1408.
The bottom line is consideration for other’s I would also (ASSUME) dangerous word here broken down :-O, this person was parking like this because of door bumps – shopping carts hits etc…Still not right or cool to take two!

Thank you, Joey. You posted this in what I took to be a WTF moment, one we’ve all had. It was funny, the comments were funny, until the arm chair analysts weighed in with possible reasons why the person parked like that and we should all hold hands and sing Kumbaya, As others pointed out, there are far more troublesome things to worry about in the world, Which is exactly why we need more posts like this simply to lighten things up. Let’s face it, They Walk Among Us, we can’t shoot them (well we could, but that would be frowned upon) so why not make light of it?
