I think it was located here and is no longer around.

The old station was at the end of Magnolia Ave in Manchester-by the-Sea. We use to hike around their as kids, there was a platform left, no buildings.

I remember getting off the train at the Magnolia stop. Not all trains stopped there. In snowy weather, they only stopped at Manchester and Gloucester. The station was set back from the main road, so there was a long drive to plow in winter syorms.

On the way to Manchester on Rt. 127, take a right on Magnolia Ave. (in Manchester, not the Magnolia Ave. between Magnolia and West Gloucester). At the very end you will come to the spot where it was. It was built to serve the wealthy New Yorkers to use when they came by rail to spend the summer at the Oceanside Hotel in Magnolia. Lexington Avenue in Magnolia was known as the summer Fifth Avenue as many of the fancy New York stores had stores on Lexington Avenue to cater to them. Many had their own private railway cars that they arrived in.
When the station was torn down, probably in the fifties, my neighbor Lester Roberts, bought part of it (probably the small building down the siding from the main building) to build his two car garage which still stands today at 43 Sumner Street.
