Lot’s of change on the horizon here that’s for the updates always be remembered for the 4th of July and other events when I was growing up there… 🙂 Dave & Kim 🙂

This sounds pretty benign, but I have heard that item 1) is a proposal to turn the entire area between the Visitors’ Center and the baseball field into a manicured lawn, which would require an extensive (and expensive) irrigation system.
Once that is done, the Farmers’ Market wouldn’t be allowed to use that space (keep off the grass!), nor would the annual cyclocross race.
I can’t imagine how much money and water it would take to create and maintain such a lawn. It’s a fool’s errand in any era, but coming so soon after the city’s report on climate change, it just seems idiotic.
Item 3) is apparently a proposal to move the Farmers’ Market into the parking lot by the dog park. Lovely.

what a stupid idea. Change simply for the sake of change…or to “show we’re doing something”.

Why don’t you clean up Cressy’s beach and get rid out the rock so people can use it the way it use to be used. I think it’s a disgrace to have such a beautiful park and the city refuses to take care of it.
