Beer Battered Panko Fried Pickles With Chili Pepper Dipping Sauce
Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 .7 oz packet Good seasons Italian Salad Dry Dressing Mix packet
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 10 oz. can light Beer
21-26 sandwich pickle slices
21/2 cups Panko
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
3-4 cups La Spagnola Vegetable and Olive Oils
Chili Pepper Dipping Sauce
ingredients
3/4 cup Cains Mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Chili Paste
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon good season Italian salad dry dressing mix
Step-by-Step
1 combine chili pepper dipping sauce ingredients in small mixing bowl; whisk well transfer to serving bowl; cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate until ready to serve
2 in medium mixing bowl combine; 1 cup flour, 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, good seasons Italian dry dressing packet; add beer; mix well
3 combine 1 cup flour, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, and 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper; in glass pie plate; mix well
4 arrange pickle slices in single layer on paper towel; blot excess pickle juice using paper towel
5 dredge each pickle slice in seasoned flour; immediately dip in beer batter
6 shake battered pickle slice gently to remove excess beer batter; immediately coat battered pickle with Panko; repeat steps 4-5 with all pickle slices
7 heat La Spagnola Oil in large fry pan over high heat; when oil is sizzling hot; carefully arrange 6-8 Beer Battered Panko Pickles in hot oil
8 fry 2-minutes; turn pickles; fry 2 additional minutes or until all sides are golden brown and crispy
9 using kitchen tongs remove crispy pickle slices from oil; transfer to cookie rack lined baking sheet; cool 2 minutes; serve immediately with Chili Pepper Dipping Sauce
