2. Bates College Athletics – Local Bobcats Roaring!:

· Bates Basketball: This past holiday weekend Bates Men’s Basketball played 2 games in the annual Salem State Holiday Classic at Salem State University. Bates beat at the buzzer by Salem State after a 17 point comeback on Sunday and then a dominating win over Berkeley (NY) on Monday. http://athletics.bates.edu/sports/mbkb/index
On hand to watch local Bobcat junior G/F Adam Philpott in action were many Gloucester family and friends, Bates local alumni and legendary coaches Paul Ingram, Tom Walsh and Mike Lattof that made it a hometown crowd on the road.
