This post is about your Passion outside of Work.

What Hobby or Interest Inspires you or drives you and makes you truly happy.

I posted this Quote last week by Albert Einstein ,

“We act as though comfort and luxury were the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about.”   Albert Einstein

  1. Of course my grand children, what joys they are, my children, husband and family, new one is taking pictures, look where we live, lots to work with. Friends and doing volunteer work and my job. Thanking God everyday that I live where I do.

  2. While food is indeed an important aspect of my joy of life I may have given the impression that is all I think about. It seems I go to post on this blog and I start thinking subconsciously of lobster for some reason and before you know it I am hungry and so I post about food.

My 2PM post already queued up ends with me eating a bluefish so I guess you have me nailed.

But in no particular order some other things I don’t get to do often enough:

    1) Cast a popper around a rock and have a keeper striped bass knock it out of the water. Or a blue grabs it and goes tail walking.
    2) Stay up late spinning pots on a wheel.
    3) Stack pieces of granite in my backyard and see how long the pile stays. I just took one down that was about five feet tall and it had been up since last October. Those stones are now lining our new pond. I am going to branch out and try round ones after the posting “Star Wars” by Halibut2.
    4) Biking up to a quarry and thinking about jumping in.
    5) Kayaking to someplace I’ve never been.

But what really floats my boat is someone in my lab telling me something is broken in the lab and I actually find the right tool and the right part and I fix it. So basically, making instruments go “ping” floats my boat. (It’s been a while.)

Whoops, forgot my kids. Obligatory “kids are fun” goes on the list.

I’m actually from Manchester (Lindsey Egan) and have been out of the loop for a while, but moved back to the North Shore last summer. Love what you guys are doing! And what a great blog this is! Now, if you could just make some tequila…..

  9. Maine. I love Maine. Love Mass lobstermen but there is something about Maine. Love the lobsterboat races up there, love Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park, Stonington, Bass Harbor. You get the picture. Just truly, deeply love Maine and their lobstermen, lobsterboats, anything Maine. I want to live there.
