Monthly Mug Up Meeting Cape Ann Brewing Nov 17th

From Linn Parisi-

Discover Gloucester’s free, monthly Mug Up Meeting is at the Cape Ann Brewery on Tuesday, November 17, 6PM for all interested tourism related business owners, managers, sales staff, volunteers, etc. It’s a great opportunity to network and share knowledge, and have a Pumpkin Stout before it’s gone. The featured speaker is Phyllis Cahaly from the Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism (MOTT) who will talk about the Domestic market of visitors and how we can get more of them to come here, following up on last months’ informative International market chat. Thanks to Jeremy and Dylan for this opportunity!

Banana Glam O Rama Tickets Avaialable!

Tickets just got freed up to today’s otherwise sold-out Bananas Fashion Show Fundraiser for City Hall and I’ve got ’em!

I went last night and it is one of the best shows I have EVER seen and I am going back for more today (show is at 4p-5p — tickets are $25 each).

It has everything: glamour, music, comedy, gorgeous women of all shapes, sizes and ages in clothes from  just about every decade of the 20th Century — and all against the dramatic background of our beloved historic City Hall.  I cannot rave about it enough!

If you are interested in ticket(s), let me know.  I can hold them for you and you can pay at the door.

Barnacle Bouquet

In case you didn’t read the comments in the last Barnacle Bouquet post GMG’s Paul Morrison gave us a little biology lesson-

Fun things I learned back in Coastal Ecology at UMass Amherst in 1977. Barnacles have the longest penis as measured by ratio of the size of the animal. Since they can’t move this likely comes in handy. “Howdy neighbor!”

They are also hermaphrodites but I had to look that up. The member size I did remember.
