Ahhhhhhh it’s over! I had a great night. Sharon did a great job, hell everyone did a great job. The truth is that with all the great people we have helping to make it a success each time I’m always nervous that there’s going to be some catastrophe the whole week leading up to them.
I’m sure Jay Albert at Cape Ann Images will have some great pictures of the event.
It’s over, on to the next project.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

What makes this guy so pimp? Is it the vintage Kingsford visor circa 1978? Is it the multiple pairs of safety glasses that he wears for no apparent reason? I don’t know but he is the first in the Pimp! series that will be a new feature on GMG. Always reinventing, always bringing new features- GMG PIMP!

We sure had fun sailing the Lannon on Race Day. It is always exciting, especially at the start when all the schooners are jockeying for position, trying to be at full speed right at the start line, without using engines. The most horrifying part of the Race was captured by several of our passengers. Attached are a couple of shots of the collision, which happened just off our port bow as we were approaching the line. They were taken by Christina Hays of Gloucester.
There was a collision between the Spirit of Bermuda (big black schooner) and Perception (small white schooner). Both had come up on the line a bit early and were trying to stall so that they didn’t go over the line before the bell. You can see the Spirit’s bowsprit in the rigging of Perception. The small schooner suffered a snapped main boom. No one was hurt, which was amazing given the five foot swell and the pounding of the Spirit’s bowsprit on the Perception’s deck.
Chelsea (played by legendary 21-year-old adult film star Sasha Grey) is an upscale Manhattan call girl who provides more than just a sexual encounter; for a price, she’ll simulate a complete romantic relationship—a girlfriend “experience.” Despite a wide variety of happy customers, Chelsea wants to expand her business. Her real boyfriend Chris, a personal trainer at a downtown gym, has come to terms with his girlfriend’s level of experience, not to mention the posh apartment they share as a result of her success. Directed by Steven Soderbergh, who won an Oscar for “Traffic,” and didn’t win an Oscar for “Ocean’s Eleven,” “Ocean’s Twelve” or “Ocean’s Thirteen.”
