  1. Ill vote Frank, as long as the winner doesn’t get changed after it’s picked. I’m sure it wont. I went through the video a few times and Janet picture just kept popping up at me. I just think it’s so pretty.

  2. In 1993 I entered my one and only photo contest and vowed never to enter another one. This is the one exception and I’m glad I did. There are so-o-o-o-o many wonderful images! Without this contest, I never would have gotten to see them.

I’m so excited about what people have submitted that I had to watch the video two more times at 2:00 in the morning!

Thanks for putting this together, Mike. I know there is a lot of work behind what we see.

  3. I want to vote for each and every one.
I finally picked one which is close to my heart.
Thanks so very much for GMG.

While viewing the harbor over the weekend, it was noted that all the boats were playing-working together: big and small fishing, lobster, big and small pleasure craft, schooners. We should repeat this history of and in Gloucester.

  4. i feel bad for Carin Macnamara who had the great shot of the boats with the rainbow and whoever made the video only gave the photo a milisecond view when everyone else had over 5 seconds! what is up with that?

    1. Not sure, but I’ll tell you what, we will feature the picture in it’s own spread and give her a link to whatever place she hosts her pictures so folks can discover her work. If you could, have her send a comment to where I can contact her and I’ll put up a bunch of her pics if she would like.

      1. Hi Joey,

Great photography contest. Sure do appreciate your efforts to correct the movie that showcased the GMG Photography contest entries. My entry “Rainbow Schooner Race” unfortunately would not display. Oh Those “Bugs.”

Also thank you for your kind offer for additional photo exposure . . . and I gladly accept. It was a wonderful day for filling the sails with salty Gloucester Wind. Congrats to Leah Conrad and to the other talented photogs too. Hey, let’s do it again next year. As you well know Gloucester is as unique as it is colorful and it is great that we document. This site does that so well. Thanks.
