I had to do a double take before I realized that these dogs were fake dogs placed on this dock to ward off seagulls.

We come bearing gifts. Grandpa had but a few simple requests when we go visit next week. Eight boxes of Parodi Cigars, and some Semanse Seeds.
It’s the little things that make an Italian man happy.

Sunken Wallet and Navy ID, originally uploaded by captjoe06.Mark Ring, Captain of the lobster boat the Stanley Thomas recovered this wallet and naval ID about a mile and a half south of Kettle Island in 150 feet of water after Hurricane Nole last fall.
If anyone knows this person or their family he would like to return it to the guy or his family. He was born in 1910. The date of issue on the ID was 1953, I’m surprised it held up so well under water.
Mark supposed that it was buried under the mud for a while and was stirred up by the storm. That is how it has been preserved.
To see the ID and wallet up close click the picture and then click “all sizes” above the picture once you get to the Flickr page. Its quite interesting to see the picture up close.

Damon out for his morning row. Feb 26, 2008. This is one of the first pics taken with the new camera. It has a 10 times optical zoom. Damon was pretty far away from me when I took this picture.
I should be able to get some better photos this summer.
Rotten Squid, originally uploaded by captjoe06.
Damn that’s just nasty. I remember as a young child our freezer at the house crapped out. There was some frozen squid that defrosted and stunk that god damned freezer up.
To this day, probably 30 years later I remember just how foul that smell was. ICK!
The machine demonstrated here is supposedly a humane way to kill lobsters by stunning them with an electric current. How stunning them with an electric current is somehow more humane than any other way of killing a lobster is beyond me.
Some silly companies will rush out to purchase them so they can make their customers feel better about eating lobster because “THEY SAY” it’s humane.
LOL Bananaheads!

I cruised down the heritage Center to get a shot of the latest construction and lo and behold Whim was cruising around on this cool little 4 wheeler plowing the place out.
Looked like he was having a blast.
