The Broads Out In California Try To Defend The Undefendable

You may remember a few weeks back these very esteemed food writers out in California tried to tackle the Lobster Roll.  Responding to one or two of our problems out of six about the horrible mistreatment of their lobster rolls, they try to defend the undefendable.  I think the Dali Lama himself would consider this cruel and unusual treatment to one of the most sacred of all dishes- the Lobster Roll.

Now they come back out and try to defend this shamockery of a Lobster Roll here-

HOMEMADE HOT LOBSTER ROLL Homemade Hot Celery With a Hint of Frozen Lobster If You Can’t Get Live Ones Recipe

IMAGE REMOVED AT REQUEST OF THE BROADS IN CALIFORNIA

***Please do not mistake the image above with anything served out here on the East Coast or for anything we would ever endorse***

Check out their recipe at http://chezus.com/ if you haven’t read the funny pages yet today and need a good laugh here- http://chezus.com/2011/08/15/homemade-hot-lobster-roll/

Joey’s response which I figure has a 20% chance of being published on their blog-

God have mercy on your soul.

strike one- frozen lobster meat

strike two- lemon? who needs to mask the taste of the most succulent meat on earth with lemon?

strike three- the golden rule. nothing green should ever touch your lobster roll

strike four- onions, really?

strike five- when you have more celery than lobster meat you know you’ve got a problem

I understand how you are trying to differentiate your lobster roll recipe from others but really the beauty of the lobster roll is it’s purity and simplicity.

Can’t you broads out in California stick to getting all crazy with tofu or sumthin more west coastie?

You’re gonna go and give our lobsters a bad name.  Oy!

or at least rename the title to Homemade Hot Celery With a Hint of Frozen Lobster If You Can’t Get Live Ones Recipe

Have a great day and try not to be late for yoga. Smile

One Week Only We Will Accept Yoga/Wellness/Fitness Submissions

This week and this week only GMG will be accepting Health/Wellness submissions as part of GMG Health/Wellness week.   Get your submissions in this week and I will run ONE POST for your organization- note this is only for this week and then we will close the health wellness publicity machine down til next January so get them in for submission.  (try to make them creative along the lines of what the fabulous Treetop Yoga did by incorporating some Gloucester settings, locations or fun into your submission.  YouTube videos are a great way to get your point across.  Make ONE video and send me the URL and I’ll run that for you.  You have til Thursday to get me something.   email your submission to goodmorninggloucester@yahoo.com

No excuse if you miss the deadline, no excuses if you didn’t see this post in time (you should be dissecting every square inch of the blog every day anyway so shame on you if you missed it) Smile

One Week and One Week Only!

Use the Treetop Yoga Post as a guide to what I mean by making it creative and not simply an ad for your joint

This Weekends Workshops at The Cape Ann Healing Center

hi there

We have two things happening this weekend!

1. Osho Meditation : Nov 13th with Silvie Lockerova – Reiki and Matrix Quantum Healing Therapist

Saturday, November 13th 1pm – 5pm; $25

What is Osho Meditation? For western people it is hard to meditate as people do in East, to sit still. Osho Meditations are therapeutic meditative techniques, using active motions and specific breathing or repetitive movements through which a person spontaneously brings self into the meditative state. Osho Meditations revibrate “the sleeping energy” and helps to put an individual into a present time.  Osho techniques are dynamic forms of meditation, involving safe, active physical movement.
To prepare for these meditations: eat light food the morning before the workshop (fruits and veg).  Bring a scarf, a light snack and plenty of water.  Wear sport clothes and bring extra sport clothes to change.
To pre-register call 978-282-1191 x 1 or email silvielocker@hotmail.com for more information.
