Flashlight Apple TV

Stage Fort Park on Tuesday was busy. Apple TV’s series Flashlight was filming an episode. Lots of activity and equipment and staff were in the parking lot, beach and on the grass. It is fascinating how much goes into the production.

By the way, I did not get discovered.

Canceling Welcoming Center Open House

Reblogged from Carol Mondello

Hello All,

We are canceling the Open House for tonight due to the storm. We are looking into rescheduling it and will let you know.

We are officially OPEN at 9am tomorrow!   Happy to see so many people for training so far and looking forward to seeing others today. I will actually be in the center until 3pm today if you want to stop by at any point.

Thank you all who came out to clean Stage Fort Park

On April 12, 2025,  we cleaned Stage Fort Park in the rain and wind.  It was fine and there were many folks who came out.  Many others were there as well that were not in the photo.  Thank you, Rebecca, for the photo.

Winter fun

On Saturday and Sunday, Stage Fort Park was full of fun.  Lots of kids sledding and enjoying the snow.

At Niles Pond, a hockey game was happening.  I love the photo of the little girl with her hockey stick ready to play.  The ice sailing looks like lots of fun.

Gloucester’s Welcoming Center

On Tuesday afternoon, volunteer shift is at the beautiful Gloucester’s Welcoming Center.  Stage Fort Park is a jewel for Gloucester.

Walking Stage Fort Park

Took a walk at Stage Fork Park.  This park is so beautiful, and Gloucester is lucky to have this place.

There’ll be ice cream in August. The Cupboard Update in the news.

The spring without The Cupboard has turned into summer and ever more. Gloucester’s authentic, reliable & affordable summer eats is **gasp** done.

Read more about the status in a front page story by Ethan Forman in the Gloucester Daily Times.

Although the restaurant and food take out won’t open, the ice cream windows will serve happiness for a few weeks. So, trying to stay positive, the send off will be a sweet, soft closing which may soften the blow. At the very least it will prod a visit and a chance to express gratitude.

When summer days and nights beckoned and our cupboards were bare, The Cupboard was indescribably full. Wish them all the best!

Volunteer shift at the Gloucester’s Welcoming Center

What a privilege it is to volunteer at Gloucester’s Welcoming Center at Stage Fort Park.  Tuesday afternoon is so much fun there.  Meeting great visitors and working with Terry is a pleasure.  Of course there is the view.

Beautiful Stage Fort Park

On Tuesday’s I am at the Gloucester’s Welcoming Center at Stage Fort Park in the afternoon.  This is a fun time and really enjoy all the visitors that come in.  Another perk to this gig is the view.

Wonderful Open House at The Gloucester’s Welcoming Center

There was a great turnout on Thursday, at The Welcoming Center.  The rain stopped and the sun came out.

Many local businesses supplied food, water, deserts, etc.  Thank you all who came out to welcome back to summer.

The cupboard is not open for the season, BUT IT WILL BE! Rumors of its status have been exaggerated

It’s past that time of the year for the de rigeur “Hooray, the Cupboard’s open for the season!” post. Perhaps you’ve heard it’s been sold.

Not true! The Cupboard will be opening for the 2024 season. That Hooray post will be coming soon!
