Passports New Facelift 4:38AM 6/22/08

I took a ride down Main street to see if anyone had changed or added to their Flowerboxes this morning.  It provided a good opportunity to catch up on the new facade improvements at Passports.   Fresh painting done by Katherine Richmond painting.

If you look at the menu in larger version you can see what looks like real paasport stamps from around the world.  StudioVO did a great job with the design.

Passports New Menu Cover

Studio VO provided the art direction for the new menu at Passports. The creative food selections are from Eric and Jeremy.

It’s meant to look like a bigger version of a real passport.  Excellent work.

Where the Locals Go Coupon Spotlight-Passports

Where The Locals Go Coupon Book

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of Passports. Great creative food at reasonable prices being served by conscientious servers.

Passports offers a free appetizer with any two entree coupon. So, say you were going out for lunch or dinner downtown. Why not pop in to any of the stores that carry The Where The Locals Go coupon book, buy one for $10 and then get a free appetizer when you eat at Passports. Depending on the appetizer you order, it could come close to paying for the price of the book and you would still have a ton of other huge money saving coupons to use.

My Gaguzza at Passports

Gaguzza at Passports, originally uploaded by captjoe06.

I’m proud to say that Eric at Passports put my recipe for Gaguzza on the menu yesterday.

What is gauguzza you ask?

It’s zuccini. The preparation for this dish is thinly sliced zuccini breaded and fried with the Italian breadcrumbs (mudiga) then layered with fresh mozzarella sitting on top of the zugu so the fried gaguzza doesn’t get all soggy.

Delicious! Go see Eric and ask for the Gaguzza!

Eric and I like to joke with each other that we have nineheads.

Most people have foreheads, but big ugly guys like us have huge nineheads.

Would you just look at the space between his eyebrows and his hairline?

You could plaster a billboard up there.

Unfortunately for me, my ninehead is even bigger.
