The thing about GMG is that we are inclusive and feel like the more we can involve contributions from our community the better the site will be for everyone. 2010 Gloucester Fisherman Triathlon Pics from David Cox Part I
I couldn’t be prouder of our coverage of The Gloucester Fisherman Triathlon.
Everyone stepped up to once again bring you the very best coverage of the event all the way from this past winter when we started our interviews with Janda and Judy Destino pumping up the race, Manny getting everyone excited with his pre-race interviews, throughout our live coverage and reporting as well as posting photos of the winners within minutes of them crossing the finish line, Thom Falzarano’s photo slideshow of the beginning of the race with over 70 hi res pictures posted within an hour of the start of the race,Sister Felicia sending in pictures as the race was unfolding, Marty posting his usual journalistic quality scene photography, Ed Collard getting the footage of the race course and calmly describing the scenes. Over 500 hi res photos in all, over 5 hours of video coverage, community photos and involvement, and being the very first to report the winners anywhere I’d say I owe the crew a pizza party at the very least.
You Guys Rock and we once again proved that THIS IS THE SOURCE! GMG BABY! Here’s the start of the Fantastic camera work by our David Cox!

Many of you guys know Ed from our many GMG Man vs Food Challenges. You might know Ed from his work each weekend cleaning up sections of the City as part of the One Hour at a Time gang with Donna Ardizzoni and Co. Maybe you saw him in our videos volunteering his time to help clear I4C2.
In any case Ed has been in the home repair and construction business for ever and as a FOB (friend of the Blog) I asked him to do a weekly segment where you the GMg reader could write in your home repair questions in the comment section and at the end of the week I would ask Ed the questions and he would answer them in a weekly video on these pages.

Pleased to have met you at the parade and what a great idea! I will have many questions for you as we are constantly working on projects with our 1929 home.
What should you do with a junction box in the ceiling that you no longer use (in this case for a fire alarm that we no longer hard-wire). Should you get a junction box cover, and then patch, seal, and paint, effectively removing it from sight, but leaving those lovely little mysteries for future owners to “discover”? Should you have it removed by an electrician to avoid potential problems (if this is even possible)? Should you just tape a superman poster up over it and pretend the ugly little problem never reared it’s tiny head?
