Kristi is in the US performing research on the Finnish, she visited Rockport and the Cape Ann Museum. See Video below:IMG_4837

Finnish 001David Cox and I are also in the process of publishing our own research which we will be shared with Kristi on the Finnish People in Gloucester. Frank Cox, David’s father wrote several papers for the WPA (Work Project Administration) in 1938.

I met Charles “Chuck” and Sarah “Sally” Heath, parents of Sarah Palin,  at the Safari Club International Convention in Reno Nevada and another couple they were traveling with.  They were a delight to talk to, and of course they all love Gloucester Massachusetts.

The Renewal of Newell Stadium Fund Raiser

Mayor Kirk recognizes Dick Wilson co-president of the Gloucester Fishermen’s Athletic Association and his wife Barbra for all the work they are doing, and in addition a birthday celebration and a 50th year wedding anniversary.  Congratulation Dick and Barbara.

 Joe and Memory have done a fantastic job, and I looking forward to sitting at the piano, of course on the other side of the keys.

Post Cards of Gloucester in early 1900’s from a friend’s Private Collection.  The collection is a treasure of over 600 post cards ranging from 1905 – 1960’s.  I am capturing them electronically (scanning) to preserve the images.

Captains Courageous Festival presented by seARTS March 6th.  A full day of activities from 9:00 AM through 9:30 PM.   Reading by a cast of many at Cape Ann Museum, Sawyer Free Library, Gloucester Maritime Heritage Center, and Cape Ann Art Haven.
