Stamping, etching, engraving, hammering and rolling in order to create a variety of textures on mixed metal (silver, copper, brass, gold fill and gold leaf), metal-smith Patricia Wellenkamp strives for elegance and wearability in all of her designs. Her cuffs, rings, earrings, necklaces, pins and cuff links will be on display and for sale in goodlinens’ workshop, with Patricia there to answer questions.

The grand opening for Rusty+Ingrid Creative Company’s new digs in Rockport continues through Sunday. Don’t miss the chance to stop by and see their work in their new studio and gallery. Their prints are vibrant, original, and completely handmade (including the frames). Also, they’re offering popcorn in different flavors. Who knew chocolate-drizzled popcorn was delicious? Not me.
The good news is that if you miss the grand opening, you can just stop by during regular gallery hours, or check them out in Boston at SoWa on Sundays, or find them online (especially their very cool Instagram).
Rusty + Ingrid Creative Company Grand Opening
Having Rusty and Ingrid relocate to Rockport is a great asset to the burgeoning makers and artists’ scene in town, and Rockport is truly lucky to have them right on Main Street. The space is live/work, so the entire family is making Rockport their home — another way they’re investing in the community. More and more downtown Rockport merchants are also Cape Ann residents, which has obvious implications for the level of investment our local merchants make the community. This shift is making a huge difference in town, and good things are happening all over. That is, if summer ever shows up and the MBTA doesn’t shut down the train.
Ingrid, looking as cool as that infused water.

G33K (‘geek’) a small business that was big in game will be closing its location in Gloucester, MA.
G33K is located in 130 Main Street between Dogtown Books and Main Street Art and Antiques. Make sure to stop by to say thanks and good luck! We were light customers–Pokémon packs and random t-shirt gifts—but always treated large. There is a store-wide closing sale on now.
When one door closes another opens. Welcome goodlinens opening July 1
Gloucester resident, business owner, designer and artisan JoAnne Chirico has been on the lookout for a ‘just right’ Main Street goodlinens headquarters for years, and boy has she found it! 130 Main Street is the one she’s been dreaming about as a retail work space, craft and creative show room. It is within an historic building and district, boasts 13 foot ceilings and has ample room for her vision and requirements. Did I mention great neighbors and the sunny side of the street?
As G33K moves out and goodlinens moves in to 130 Main Street, the space will be temporarily closed as it’s transformed in time for a July 1 soft summer launch and grand opening in September.
goodlinens new flagship store and open studio on Main Street will feature JoAnne’s handmade beautiful and functional designs along with selected hand made crafts from other artisans, local and beyond. The retail will include kitchen and housewares goods, unique and special objects, finds, and lighting. She embraces an open work studio concept in such an original and thoughtful way. This space will be a place for people making things. I expect it to be inspiring, playful, unexpected and comfortable. She has a lot in store for this store. She can’t wait to finally move boxes, case-goods and tables out of her home, her friends’ barns and other storage sites. Look for new Facebook and updates coming soon.
In the meantime, here’s a snapshot of JoAnne quickly sketching a layout with high points, and one of goodlinens videos shot by Gloucester cinematographers’ Yellow Hook Productions.
