My View of Life on the Dock
An amazing day on Tuesday over in Annisquam.

Well, if this isn’t a lovely way to end the day I don’t know what is.
Thank you to Paul and Betsey Horovitz for helping us see what it looks like to end their day at Lighthouse Beach in the Annisquam.

Yesterday’s high tide in the Annisquam would have made for some cold feet from these seats. Thanks to Paul and Betsey Horovitz for this photo.

Check out the elegantly beautiful spread in the summer issue of “North of Boston Weddings,” created by Gail McCarthy and Amy Sweeney, featuring our daughter Liv and son-in-law Matt’s Lighthouse Beach wedding.
Our family’s deepest thanks and appreciation to Gail and Amy–truly a wonderful memento of their special day that we will treasure for always.

A fun time for one and all !!!
Time Out Magazine In NYC just pointed out the pure bliss that is Lighthouse Beach in it’s 10 best weekend getaways from NYC article.
From personal experience, the Swells aren’t big fans of anyone in the media pointing out to the sweaty masses how fantastic Lighthouse Beach is. The writer of this article may just want to hide out in a bunker til summer is over because if any New Yorkers find their way to Lighthouse Beach they might send a hit squad to take out the author who had the audacity to tell people about this gem of a location which may or may not be able to be found on the map below…
We’ve got weekend getaways for adventurers and lazybones alike—all so close to NYC, you can go right now

Hello Again Joey: I have been scouring the internet for more relevant articles and photographs
for the listing on the Annisquam Village wooden bridge over Lobster Cove I wrote about previously :
http://bridgehunter.com/ma/essex/bh63113/http://bridgehunter.com/ma/essex/bh63113/ .
I did just come across and added to that site the wonderful 2013 article on Cape Ann, Gloucester and
The Village of Annisquam by Peter Fortune. I highly recommend checking it out for Cape Ann history
buffs and anyone who wants to understand SQUAM (starting on page 15). It is very enjoyable reading.
Download and read it at this link directly- http://www.fortunearchive.com/Boating/Top%20Cruising%20Spots/Cape%20Ann.pdf

Happy Holidays Joey:
FYI, I have updated and added more photos to the
posting on the Annisquam Village Lobster Cove Wooden Bridge in Bridgehunter
which will forever be a favorite childhood playground of the Lindberg family
members as well as many more Annisquam residents and visitors . Mike actually had a picture of kids
jumping off bridge which I included in posting.
I think it will bring smiles and stir happy memories and allow everyone to revisit the beautiful bridge
and its history. Happy Holidays ! Bob Lindberg

For the Chief, and anyone who wants a quick and easy reference on how to tell the difference between the Snowy and Great Egrets, both white and both often times found feeding in the marsh and tide pools together. The Great Egret is greater in size and has a bright yellow bill, with black legs and black feet. The smaller Snowy Egret has the opposite markings, with unmistakeable cadmium yellow feet and a black bill.

Snowy Egret and Great Egret
In the above photo taken this morning, the egrets were too far away for my camera’s lens to get a really clear picture however, when cropped, you can see a side-by-side comparison. The Snowy Egret, with black bill and bright yellow feet, is flying in the background and the Great Egret, with black feet and yellow bill, is perched.
