Tonight, New England Music Award winner, Annie Brobst, entertains with Ryan Dupont. Killer country music, tacos, and tequila to get your weekend started. Dinner starts at 4:30. Gloucester’s best music starts at 9. Let’s go, Machacans!
I just want to update everyone in the vein of transparency. WordPress, the hosting site for the blog is working to restore all votes that were cast and not recorded. There was a glitch in the matrix and I want to make sure that the absolute right results are the results that we go with. It may take a couple days, it may be done by this evening but I will assure you that before we go forward I will do everything in my power to make sure we have the most accurate results possible before we announce the field of 64.
The great news is that I have a bracket site for the field of 64 that is going to be really fun to work with, that will load easily and you’ll be able to see all the rounds in the brackets as it goes with timers to vote until the next round and a bunch of sharing features. I think you guys are gonna love it.
I was on with customer support from 8:30-11:00PM last night and then again from 2:30AM-4:30 AM trying to get it resolved. This is where we’re at currently:

My colleagues are working on this still, but you mentioned you wanted to know if there was a possibility that some votes may be lost. That isn’t impossible, but my colleagues are hopeful that everything can be recovered just fine. It’s a bit of a tricky issue, but it’s actively being worked on and we’ll be in touch as soon as possible.
Joey Ciaramitaro <captjoe@yahoo.com>To:WordPress.com SupportFri, Mar 25 at 10:27 AMok thanks so much. before I reached out to the viewership i just wanted to make sure i knew we’d have the right counts I appreciate your response

I am really really sorry about the holdup but anyone that has been involved in our contests or judging in the past knows that I am incredibly passionate about running fair and transparent contest on which people can rely on the results. I’m disappointed by this setback but firmly believe as soon as I get the right results the round of 64 is going to be a blast.

IF YOU DON’T LET ALL THE DOG PHOTOS LOAD BEFORE YOU CLICK ANYTHING YOU WON’T SEE THE POLL TO VOTE
Please read first
Important! You need to let the voting page load by clicking on the title and letting the entire post load.A vote is not recorded by clicking on a picture or by leaving a comment. You need to vote on the poll that is provided just below the SeaPort Vet logo. You only get one vote.
Here is an example from a screen capture on my phone of what to look for. You will only see the poll ONCE all the photos are loaded. Once ALL the doggo photos are loaded, then the poll pops up. If you click on the photos without letting it all load you’ll probably have issues and not see the poll. This is due to the huge number of entries. I think it’s 159 dog photos need to load before the poll will pop up and that’s a lot of computing power.

2015- Carrancho reunion- Ken in the back wearing the festive party shirt
Gloucester native, FOB-
Condolences to Ken’s grieving family and friends. How painful that this beautiful family, the type of family that is everything to each other, has lost Ken. Smart. Humble. Joyful. And devoted to his family and Gloucester. RIP.

Immediately after the academic year end and before our summer program begins, Harborlight Montessori offers two robust and fun Experience Weeks. Students in grades 4th-8th are invited to register to join us.
MUSUEM SCHOOL
Upper School (4th -8th grade) Monday, June 20 through Friday, June 24
Did you know that Massachusetts has 228 museums? During this week, students will visit a different museum each day to explores themes in art, history, and science. Harborlight will equip each student with a sketchbook/observation journal for taking notes and drawing. They will explore exhibits and galleries, roam the grounds and halls, think critically, examine purposefully and be immersed in culture. They will also complete a scavenger hunt in Boston that highlights some of the city’s most spectacular murals and street art. The notes they take, memories they record, and images they sketch will serve as a visual diary of their studies.
MAIN STREETS AND BACK ROADS
Upper School (4th-8th grade)
Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 1
Much like Chronicle’s Main Streets and Back Roads, students will explore gardens, footpaths, statues, parks, trails, waterfronts, and more of our neighboring cities and town. Students will visit Gloucester, Salem, and Newburyport to explore tourist attractions, off-the-beaten-path destinations, notable architecture, and the hidden ‘quirky-corners’ of these communities. While on campus they will design a destination brochure for an imaginary city or town of their own that is inspired by their favorite sights, sounds, and flavors from the week’s adventures.
