The Schooner Colombia was built in 1923 and sank in 1927. It was built as a racer but has a storied history in it’s short 4 year life. When it sank it lost all hands and those names are on the Cenotaph on the plaque representing 1927.
Watch the video and see the construction in which no expense was spared. What a thing of beauty.

Law & Water Gallery opens a new exhibit of Sam Feinstein’s paintings of Gloucester’s inner harbor in the late 1940s. Geometry of Port will be shown through February 2015.

What a beautiful (and entertaining) surprise I experienced this past summer when filming B-roll and the milkweed patch at Waring Field in Rockport. From a distance the elusive hen was observed and I was delighted to see, upon coming closer to film her, that she had four little babies in tow (turkey babies are called poults).
