In the midst of photographing all of the beautiful schooners, I was happy to take a second to appreciate the gorgeous back drop to it all…that is, our Gloucester.

Sometimes when you have a glass jar full of candies…….

Erin and Jodi at Cape Ann Wildlife are treating this sweetest juvenile Red-shouldered Hawk for rat poison. The young hawk is yet another patient in their long list of wild creatures that have been poisoned this year by rodenticide. The prognosis is not looking good for this little guy.

The adult Red-shouldered Hawk is a medium sized hawk. They are mostly forest dwellers. I’ve only see one once and it was stunning in flight.

Essentials for Image Processing is a one on one half day class for professional, fine art and hobbyist photographers who want to learn about file management, color balancing, why shooting in RAW is better, shadows and highlights moves, contrast, ways to save and send image files, using Bridge and more. This is a chip to print seminar, it is not a how to shoot photos seminar, it’s what to do with your image files once you have them. This seminar is for beginners/intermediate. Prerequisite is a good working knowledge of computers, this class is taught on a Mac but all functions will work on a PC. You may bring your laptop, wireless WiFi is available but please make sure it is fully charged as outlets will not be available.

Hi Joey, we visited the excellent Lipizzana horses at Cogswell Grant today, which was excellent ! Can you give them a shout out on GMG they are there today, the 9th and next weekend 14,15 & 16th..
Reason I ask is there has been very little publicity and the turn out today was rather low. This benefits Historic New England so I think they deserve a mention..
