The Rhumb Line – Thu. June 17thDave Sag’s Blues PartyBrian Templeton is headlining 6-9pm

Dave is still laid up but feeling much better about his recent knee replacement.

Brian Templeton’s barrelhouse belting style of singing, hot harmonica playing and exuberant onstage persona has garnered him a legion of fans in the U.S, Europe and beyond. As an international blues sensation, and all around cool cat, Brian Templeton is a veteran New England blues star who rose to worldwide fame as the front man of The Radio Kings. He’s a top notch vocalist and harp player, a riveting performer, and a master of down home Texas and Chicago style blues. The main thing he prides himself on is his ability to entertain his fans. “I don’t think of myself as a musician first but as a showman. I want my audience involved, whether it be by dancing, singing or just clapping along to the beat.” This onstage attitude has earned him the reputation as one of Boston’s most dynamic performers and a legion of dedicated fans.

Fun with Backyard Birds

It’s been quite a while since I have just spent the afternoon watching the birds in the backyard. Jim was golfing so that’s how I decided to spend my time. Yesterday’s quiet time with the local songbirds was very fruitful. There’s a young female cardinal that’s been hanging around learning the ways of the world. The darn oriole keeps investigating the hummingbird feeder rather than feasting on the oranges I leave for them. There are several orioles out here and the males are constantly chasing seach other around. The hummingbirds are also feisty and hungry.

The male and female cardinal feeding together brought to mind my breakfast table. The female is chattering away and the male is staring off into space.

Cemetery Tow Zone

So, this sight in the middle of the Seaside/Locust Grove cemetery brought a few questions to mind. With tongue firmly in cheek: Shouldn’t it be “resident” only parking? Isn’t everyone already “ parked”? Who’s issuing tickets, Casper the Ghost? Just how do these people pay their tickets?
