The good old days.

My View of Life on the Dock

While going by Thacher Island the other day I took some quick photos that demonstrate how its twin lighthouses line up to show due north and due south. You can see that, when heading exactly north or south, the lighthouses line up so that one is no longer visible.

Please join us at the Cape Ann Makers Market next Thursday Aug 26 from 4-8 PM at the Paint Factory. (rescheduled due to weather forecast) I will be displaying notecards, prints, coasters and other items with some of the images below. Additional images and details available at Pat D’s Photos and Adventures Facebook page. When I signed up (with 30 or so other vendors), it seemed like a long time in the future but now it’s here and I’m a little nervous as I am new at this. So I hope you will stop by to say hello. Mention GMG and get a discount on items with whales on them (notecards excluded but anything else!).

Carol Mondello writes- I have some volunteers leaving for the season, if you’ve thought about doing this but were worried about the full summer commitment this is a great way to try it out to see if you like it. It’s really a good time!

We’ve all been waiting a long time to see these two together. Dan King’s and David Brown’s traditional Tuesday gig at Jalapenos has been in a state of hiatus since way back to the beginning of the pandemic.
Me? Well… I’ll be on a bit of a”medical leave” for the next several weeks, but, as you can plainly see, the amazing Rhumb Line lives on. No need to worry. As my good friend Arnold always says, I’ll be back! ~ Fly

Well Know Local businessmen, Roy Spittle, Founder of Roy Spittle Electric and his Son, Tom Spittle of Roy Spittle Electric and Taormina Electric had Cazeault Solar & Home not only install solar but reroof their homes!

“Cazeault Solar & Home is the best company I have worked with. Everyone is top notch. I have already recommended them to multiple people and our customers. I will use them for every job I can and for me to give out a 5 Star Rating, which I gave to them is unheard of” – states Tom Spittle.
“We are blessed to have such incredible Team members. I would not have ever thought we would install 400 solar systems in the Cape Ann area and hundreds more beyond. It is such a pleasure to work with great clients such as Roy and Tom” – Tim Sanborn, owner of Cazeault Solar & Home.
Do you want to put solar on your house and make money?
Fill out the form or email me at goodmorninggloucester@yahoo.com and I’ll have lifelong Gloucester resident Tim Sanborn from Cazeault Solar call you to go over your options for free.

I’ve said this at least a dozen times on the podcast.
I’d love to start a company and call it analog and sell newly manufactured old school appliances.
Ones that lasted and even when they did start to break down on year 20 or so, you could replace the parts in no time at all for cheap.
