My View of Life on the Dock

Donna posted a picure and question Tuesday evening as to who her “cute little bird” is. I questioned our ornithologist daughter and son-in-law, and Derek wrote back:
“That’s a juvenile House Finch that is suffering from (and probably blinded by) a disease that is most likely conjunctivitis.
So not cute.
Unfortunately.”
We’ve been dodging hurricanes, so outdoor activities continue.

Foggy Cove….

Anyone know what kind of bird this is? This little bird has been hanging on my deck and lets me get really close to this little cutie.

This red fish was no match for the stealthy and persistent seagull.

We met friends recently at the new oyster bar at the Beauport Hotel 1606 Restaurant. FOBs Susan and Leo LaRosa joined up for drinks, appetizers and entertaining stories from Adam the bartender. It’s a winning combination for sure. The oysters, flatbread and the Northeast Family Farms Artisan Tray were outstanding along with the drinks and the company. You cannot beat the atmosphere! We had a wonderful visit and we recommend you give it a try as well.

All we need now is some Old Bay Seasoning and we’ll have ourselves a feed!
