“…The drama then transitions to Kaepernick talking about his idol, Allen Iverson. At a young age Kaepernick wanted to have cornrows like Iverson but after many people compared him to a “thug,” and called him “unprofessional,” he deferred. In the show, Kaepernick expressed that cornrows represented the culture in his blood and that it was unfair how he was profiled.

Edgartown’s Lobster Trap Tree

While we all know that Gloucester’s Lobster Trap Tree is the best, I enjoy seeing other towns’ versions as well. I spent part of last weekend enjoying “Christmas in Edgartown” down Martha’s Vineyard. Here is their Lobster Trap Tree.

Hey Joey,
We’re hosting an Adult Crafting event on Friday night at Maritime Gloucester. It starts at 4:30, but it’s ok if people need to be a little bit late. BYOB is fine with us. 

About the Event

Join our own Geno Mondello and make a one of a kind Dory themed piece to keep or gift. No experience necessary. You will choose from 2 designs and Geno will help you to sand down the rough-cut pieces and assemble, you can add a rope hanger or accent piece- you may even learn a new knot or two, then you will take the project home to paint or stain as you wish or leave the raw wood, the choice is yours. Because of the drying time required for the glue and paint or stains we aren’t able to offer that during this event. 

We’re excited to host another Adult Craft night. 

Please bring a face covering to wear as social distancing will be difficult.
