Over the 30 plus years of working down the dock I’ve worn all types of boots. These are by far the greatest boots I’ve ever owned. They are warm and comfortable and they are molded in one piece so there is no liner that would smoosh down and bunch up down by your toes.

Coveted Yarns On East Main Street
When you drive by Coveted Yarn at night the bright colors light up the windows of it’s store at 121 East Main Street (next to Smoking Jim’s). Here’s Robert stocking shelves. You can see one of the couches where you can sit and knit and chat with other knitters.

Ridiculous Discounts on the clearance racks at Coveted Yarn. There was some yarn that was $9 per skein that was marked down to $3 and if you bought a whole bunch they further were reduced 20% on top of that. Well worth it for you to checkout if you are a knitter, or know a knitter that might like a gift certificate for the holidays!

What Zat Contest #3 From Sharon Lowe
“Last week’s contest winner was Karen who identified the photo as the top of the gazebo at Stage Fort Park . She got it within 6 hours of the contest posting! I guess I’d better make this a little more difficult! Karen, please contact me at sharone.lowe@verizon.net to claim your prize. This week’s contest prize is an assortment of 6 Cape Ann photo note cards (my photography, of course!) Good luck and have fun!”
Thanks, Joe! I’m passing your site on to everybody! I’m lovin’ your blog and everyone who I’ve met along the way! -Sharon

There is a warm aura in this joint with couches and chairs. Certainly a community aspect as you can hang out and joing the knitting revolution currently taking place in Gloucester.

Things To Do Rocky Neck Winter Stroll December 13 & 14
From Brenda Malloy-
Hello and good day Joey~
wondering if I could as you to please blast this out to your gang. Thanks so much. Also, if you could ask people to pass it on to whoever else they know that would be great too!
PEACE! read on…
Saturday and Sunday Dec 13 & 14, 11 – 5pm, The Rocky Neck Winter Stroll (see attached poster)
The winter residents of Rocky Neck are proud to announce the first ever Winter Stroll. This is the first time there have been this many galleries open and active this time of year. There are more than twice as many of us open this year compared to previous years.
The wonderful variety of galleries on Rocky Neck offer an eclectic mix of artful, handmade gifts for the holiday season: fine art, funky art, glass sculpture ornaments, jewelry, pottery, accessories, greeting cards, and gift certificates to name a few.
Our idea in doing The Stroll is to show people that Rocky Neck, in addition to our Rocky Neck Goes To Town Main St. Exhibit, does not fold up the side walks in the winter. We are alive and well, vibrant and prospering, and we want to share our art and our energy with our community.
Here is a sampling of some of the offerings:
Imagine gallery will be offering 20% off all artwork and merchandise, as well as 20% of all proceeds to be donated to the Open Door food pantry. EVERYONE who comes into Imagine over the weekend will receive a free gift.
Sigrid Olson gallery is will be raffling off an original painting, as well as 10% off ceramics, 20% off art and free gift wrapping.
Goetemann Gallery will raffle off a giclee silk print, and offer a discount on selected works.
Karen Ristuben Gallery will be offering 10% off all her work.
Sailor Stan’s Restaurant will be open until 4pm over the weekend offering a light lunch including their popular chowders, along with hot chocolate and sweets.
In addition there will be refreshments and other promotions at various galleries.
