Hi Joey,

Walking in the woods this morning it felt like fall, or maybe spring….  It was beautiful, nonetheless.

In The Battle For More Picturesque Photo Location Who You Got Between The Burnham House In Essex and Motif No 1 in Rockport and The Paint Factory in Gloucester.

At One Time I might have said the Paint Factory but it’s such a mess now you’d have to put it out of the running.   The Burnham House In Essex has the Natural surroundings thing going for it.  Rockport’s Motif No 1 is nice in it’s own right and probably has the most world wide cache.

Hi Joey,

Friday afternoon, once the storm ended, I decided to head north and check out Plum Island.  Here are a few of my favorite shots.

A tractor that looks like it’ll be stuck for a while.  A dog retrieving a ball in the snow covered dunes.  The Plum Island Light.  The surf was definitely still up.  The houses and fields were covered with 2 feet of snow and ice. A snowy owl was perched on the roof of a deserted home.  And in Rowley along the river, I encountered a very interesting midair snow drift that almost resembled a ghost floating along in front of me.  The temperature was balmy 14, and it was gorgeous!

Hi Joey,

After being cooped up for the storm, I headed out to Cranes Beach check out the dunes and the surf.

The snow on the dunes was laced with a marbling of sand which made for some quite interesting patterns.

Even the day after the storm ended, there was still a bit of surf, but the seagulls seemed to take it all in stride.

Hi Joey,

Friday morning was lovely along the water.   There was still a hint of snow on Good Harbor Beach and the

air was crisp but not too cold to chat with friends while capture the beauty of Gloucester.

I hope everyone in the GMG family has a wonderful New Year!

Thought I’d share these photos with everyone. I don’t have a “fancy” camera and I’ve seen better photos on GMG, but she’s still a beautiful bird!

Hi Joey,

Here are 2 shots from my travels around Cape Ann on Friday.   I was coming down Rte 128 to Grant Circle and the late afternoon light captured my eye, so I snapped this as I was stopped waiting to enter the rotary.

The second one is a tree behind Woodman’s in Essex.  I just thought it was lovely sitting by itself along the Essex River.
