Gloucester’s 5th Annual Overdose Vigil

Some pictures from last nights 5th Annual Overdose Vigil. A time to remember those lost and to highlight the epidemic heroin addiction has become; an issue Gloucester has become a widely recognized leader for coordinating police to get help for addicts, not arrests. Speakers told about their loss, experience and hope that one day there will be no need for a vigil. With candles lit, the names of all family and friends lost was read to close out the evening.

Hi Joey,
I thought you might appreciate this shot taken at Pisces on Friday. This little guy visited us for a few consecutive days… He really enjoyed looking at his reflection, or maybe he was just deciding whether or not he wanted to purchase this lovely mirror
Hope your summer was a good one!

Hi Joey! Always a joy to visit again.

Surprised by the hotel progress as we have been following it every few months.  Awesome scenes wherever we go on Cape Ann.
Blessings, Linda rae and Rob

UB88 Patrick T. Kennedy being Fitted at Rocky Neck Railways

IMG_7468

The UB88 Patrick T. Kennedy is being fitted as a tour boat by Owner / Captain Timothy Kennedy, seen here with his nephew Timothy.

The UB88 is a 50 foot Naval Utility Boat built in 1988 for the Aircraft Carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower .

This is Captain T. Kennedy’s second  Restoration of a Naval Utility Boat, the first one is the UB85 Joseph S. Kennedy operating in Boston Harbor.

“The Joseph S. Kennedy is a 50 ft. Navy launch built in 1985 that… we have restored. In it’s early years, the Kennedy was attached to the USS Roosevelt, a US Navy aircraft carrier. Our vessel is named after Joseph S. Kennedy, the grandfather of our boat’s captain. Lovingly known as “Papa Joe”, he was a gunner’s mate who served in both World War I and II. Come join our family’s passion for the Boston Harbor and all of the history and sites it has to offer. “
