Stage Fort Park Late summer

After my shift on Tuesday, the view was special. Stage Fort Park is a jewel for the city of Gloucester.  Lucky to live here.

Sitting on the float

While walking to Magnolia Pier on Saturday, before the rain, Rick and I went down the ramp to the float.  The tide was going out and the pier looked interesting from the float.  From this angle you see the engineering aspect.

Blue sky, blue harbor, color

Generous Gardeners hard work on Stacy Boulevard certainly shows.  The colors are amazing and so pretty.  The fall sky and Gloucester Harbor blue water is a painting.

Seafoam

Reblogged from

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

How does sea foam form? Like filling up a bubble bath or steaming a latte, sea foam forms when certain molecules in the water are mixed until they’re frothy. In the ocean, DECAYING MARINE LIFE releases organic molecules, including proteins and fats, into the water. Some proteins and fats can act as SURFACTANTS.

Mile Marker for Sunday Breakfast a couple of weeks ago

On Sunday Rick and I went to have breakfast at Mile Marker.  It was a beautiful day and sitting outside on their deck was great.  The food was great and the view outstanding.

Sunday of schooner Festival 2025

Oh, what a weekend.   The Schooner Festival is definitely on the top of my favorites.  Sunday the weather was amazing, sails, sun and blue ocean.  Thank you to the committee and Maritime Gloucester for this great event.

An amazing Saturday

The Cut Bridge

Nice walk on the Boulevard before my shift at the visitors’ center.  Watched a couple of boats going through the Blynman Bridge Canal with many onlookers.

Good Harbor at low tide

With Hurrican Erin, off the coast, the ocean could be a danger.  The beach was beautiful with amazing light.

Saturday and Sunday Waves

The ocean was telling a story the last few days.  Waves, riptides and sunshine.  We all love a good storm, but everyone needs to be extremely careful out there.

Thank you, Generous Gardeners,

Taking a quick walk on the Boulevard on Wednesday, the colors of the flowers were glowing with the light rain.

Lonely Good Harbor

Good Harbor looked very deserted on Wednesday.  The lifeguards were on duty to make sure swimmers were staying safe.  You could see the ocean and wind changing.

Look what is dock in Gloucester Harbor

Saw this yacht in Gloucester Harbor on Wednesday. The dingy on the stern of the boat is bigger than most boats.
