The Rabbit’s Picture of Desserts At Finale

Thanks Brian for the picture.

Finale got a Best Of Boston award for best dessert in Boston for 2008.  I got the Tiramisu which was very good but I’d still take the Mrs’ Tiramisu over the one I had here.  the Rabbit had the Boston Creme.  Each dessert was like a work of art.  One of these days I’ll get the Mrs to post her Tiramisu recipe.

Anemone At The New England Aquarium

I needed about 3 hours more to get the pictures I wanted to at The Aquarium.  This is one of those times where you have to balance family time with trying to get the right shot as the girls were going nuts.  The Bean excitedly screaming that each exhibit was her new favorite and Snoop Maddie Mad flying up and down the ramps with wreckless abandon.  I managed one or two decent snaps out of dozens though.

This one is kinda pretty.

Free Admission to Cape Ann Museum

From the Cape Ann Blog

Haven’t checked out the Cape Ann Museum lately? If you are a Cape Ann resident, January is the time to do it. Admission is free to Cape Ann residents for the entire month of January, before the museum’s annual one-month closure in February.

Check out an extraordinary collection of local art and historical objects, from Fitz Henry Lane paintings to Folly Cove Designer prints to the original statue of Mary that once stood atop Our Lady of Good Voyage Church.

The Cape Ann Museum, which recently changed its name from the Cape Ann Historical Association, is located at 27 Pleasant St., Gloucester.

Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from 1-4 p.m. If you aren’t a resident, admission is $8 adults, $6 students and seniors, and free for children under 12 and museum members. The museum is wheelchair accessible.

For more information, call 978-283-0455 or visit www.capeannmuseum.org.

Snoop Mad Paints

This is the first time that Snopp Maddie Mad has used the easel to paint.  She didn’t do half bad, but that’s to be expected.  She’s gifted.  The doctor said she’s 1000000th percentile for artistic ability.  Honestly.

Seagull Poop For Evelyn

Seeing as Evelyn likes the Seagull Poop Pics so much I thought I’d toss another one her way.  This is what herring looks like after it has been digested and pooped out of the seagul’s ass.  Anyone up for some over easy eggs?

Bob And Dave’s

See that thing that looks like a glass Christmas Tree?  That’s kinda what it is,  and it lights up from inside.  Just another one of the totally funky things at Bob and Dave’s.

Bob And Dave’s Figure Head- Jesus or Obi Wan Kanobi?

I’m not sure if this one is Jesus or Obi Wan Kanobi.

Bob And Dave’s Jesus Heads

There are a wide variety of Jesus heads down at Bob and Dave’s.  If you have a thing for Jesus heads, Bob and Dave’s is the place to go.

Art Haven Ice Sculpture

When taking some Christmas window display pictures downtown this morning I noticed the Ice sculpture in front of Art Haven is no longer there.  If you didn’t get to see it, here it is-

New Coral From Bob and Dave’s Finds It’s Home

We have a couple of these floor to ceiling bookcases which sat empty for 4 years or so.  We didn’t want to just fill it up with knick-knacky crap and have waited to put stuff we really dig.  So the coral I found the other day at Bob and Dave’s has found a new home on this shelf.
