A Tale Of Two Weddings In Photos.

It’s true Kate and I are officially married. Two beautiful days. One in the snow by the ocean. One in the sand by the ocean.

Simple elegant days without the aggravation of a huge event worrying about such things as flower arrangements and seating plans and guest lists. We did it on our terms throwing conventional tradition to the wind.

We couldn’t be happier. Thanks for all the well wishes on social media.

There will be a party when we get home. No one will need to buy a $400 bridesmaid dress that they secretly can’t stand.  There won’t be an obnoxious shower on Fiesta Saturday or Fourth of July that anyone would grudgingly have to shop for and attend.  It’ll be a party for our friends that haven’t had the chance to celebrate with us and the only thing I can guarantee is that there will be booze.

Here are a couple photos from both days.

Ayurveda Wellness Healing, LLC's avatarCape Ann Wellness

Let Ayurveda Wellness Healing, LLC help you eliminate toxins with The Secrets of Ayurvedic Massage.

An ayurvedic massage helps eliminate toxins through purification, strengthens the muscle tone, relaxes and rejuvenates the body. Also known as hard body massage, Ayurvedic massages are given using hands, elbows, and forearms.

Ayurvedic massage involving tapping, kneading, squeezing and traditional massage strokes is done by using essential oils to suit individual doshas. The style and intensity of massage depends on the individual’s need for balance and well being at the time.

An Ayurvedic therapist focuses on the “marma points”, which are similar to the pressure points in reflexology, acupuncture and acupressure.

This class is donation-based with all proceeds going to Boston Children’s Hospital “Yoga Reaches Out” fundraiser, taking place at Gillette Stadium on April 28. Happy Birthday To The Most Loving Giving Mom In The World

You know when you go to buy a birthday card at CVS and they’re all so sappy with superlatives that are completely over-the-top gushing about the person you’re buying the card for?

Well there truly aren’t enough superlatives for how much our mom does for us.

Even after losing our dad.

Knowing we can always count on her. She may not seem like a rock to everyone else but to the people that are really around our family, they all know how much of a rock she is.

We love you so much Ma. Wouldn’t trade you in for all the other mothers in the world.

You’re our rock. You’re our constant.

I wish a simple “thank you” could cover it all but there will never be thank you enough.

Love, us-

Still Loving My Dollar Shave Club Razor Service! Thanks Rick Doucette!

Best Razor I’ve Ever Used And It’s Not Even Close (‘cept the shave that is)…

The heft and solid feel of the handle they send you, the smoothness of the shave, the way lower cost.  Dollar Shave Club IS AN ABSOLUTE NO BRAINER.  It’s a downright luxurious shaving experience and it is one third the cost of buying Gillette Razors.

You can sign up, try it for one month and if you don’t like it cancel.  There is no question in my mind that once you try it you won’t go back.  Perfect stocking stuffer gift.  $6

Join The Dollar Shave Club Here

This was the original post which led me to ordering signing up for Dollar Shave Club about a week ago-

In light of my recent shaving disaster I’m taking my boy Rick Doucette’ (among other people’s) advice.  Literally 7 different people emailed me today telling me how much they dig the dollar saving club service.

Rick Says These Razors Are Great and They Ship You 4 New Blades Each Month for $6 Including Shipping and Handling.

image

What a handsome son of a gun the Rick Doucette is.

So for $72 a year I’ll get 48 Blades.  Way Less Than Gillette razors for the same quality shave.  I get to toss the blades once a week and use a fresshie.  They give you a free handle and if you don’t like the razors you simply quit without any obligation.  No Brainer city baby.

I ordered the middle of the line razors-

Salem State University Inducts four Gloucester Freshmen and 196 others into Honor Society

Salem State University Inducts four Gloucester Freshmen and 196 others into Honor Society

SALEM, MA-The First Year Experience Office at Salem State University inducted four Gloucester residents and 196 other students into the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society.

Salem State freshmen Abigail Feener, Harley Pereira, Maria Cinekkum and Thea Louise Thomaseth Bugge were inducted into the honor society along with other first year students who achieved a 3.6 GPA or higher as part of the eighth class inducted into the Salem State chapter.

The first year students, along with their friends and family, attended the 2019-2020 Alpha Lambda Delta induction ceremony, which took place at Veterans Hall in the Ellison Campus center on February 22, 2019.

During the induction ceremony, new members were sworn into the society and awarded a membership pin and certificate. The Alpha Lambda Delta executive board spoke at the event about the impact that membership has had on their academic success.

Along with student and professional staff from the First Year Experience Office, other members of the Salem State community were featured as speakers for the event. Salem State University Provost and Academic Vice President David Silva congratulated and encouraged the first year students on their honor.

“As students who have figured out the necessary skills and strategies to be successful, I want to challenge you to give back to your fellow students,” said Silva. “I hope that you will take on the role of mentor and role model for future generations of students at the institution.”

Alpha Lambda Delta at Salem State University re-established itself in 2012 and has inducted over a 1,000 members since then. These students are now a part of a society that encourages superior academic achievement, community service, and playing a helpful role in society.

With the society’s mission in mind, the Salem State chapter continues to expand its service project opportunities and encourages the academic success of its members through their collegiate experience.

For more information and upcoming events, please follow the chapter Facebook page “Alpha Lambda Delta at Salem State”.
