Here’s the story behind the large yacht AD VANTAGE in #GloucesterMA Harbor

This is what I’ve found-

http://www.viewyacht.com/advantage180 Accommodations:Ad-Vantage was originally launched in 2012 as an Offshore Crew Supply Vessel by Damen Shipyards. A perfect platform to then be transformed in 2015 to the Yacht Support Vessel she is today, extending capacity and capabilities of her mothership Vantage yet accommodations still offered for 6 guests in 3 staterooms of her own. There is a forward cabin that can convert from a Queen bed to 2 Twin beds, a portside Twin bedded cabin and starboard Queen cabin for a versatile arrangement of staff or overflow of guests from her mothership, 150′ PJ Vantage. Ad-Vantage carries a range of tenders and toys for every occasion including a Triton 3300/3, 3 man, 1000 meter capable submarine, 40’ Van Dutch, 34’ Jupiter fishing boat, 26’ Rupert RIB, Nautique G21 wake boat, Hobie Cat & Seadoo. The interior of Ad-Vantage was refitted to accommodate additional personnel such as dive guides, submarine pilots or medic, however the simple, clean finish of the interior could accommodate overflow of guests depending on the intended use.

54m Damen Sea Axe refitted as superyacht support vessel Advantage

BY LAURA NINEHAM

A 54 metre Damen Sea Axe vessel has been refitted and launched. Now named Advantage, she will be used as a superyacht support vessel.

As part of the extensive refit, Advantage was lengthened with a new transom platform housing a stern anchor. Her deck was reconfigured and 60 seats were removed and replaced with three guest cabins, a captain’s cabin and an office on the main deck.

She was given Quantum stabilisers and a new paint job, as well as getting an upgrade to her lower crew area and galley. A fit-for-purpose coal room was also added.

A solution to common foot problems -Nia classes on Cape Ann

niawithlinda's avatarCape Ann Wellness

Do you suffer from pain, neuropathy, poor balance and other common foot ailments?

According to AARP, there are many simple measures you can take to fix some of these pesky pedal problems.  Here’s a link to the full article https://www.aarp.org/health/conditions-treatments/info-2019/common-feet-problems-solutions.html

Here are two solutions they offer to help feet, both of which can be found in a Nia class.

1. Get on your feet

The more you sit, the more you deactivate your glute muscles — and proper foot function requires strong glutes, hips and abs, Splichal says. Exercises like hip bridges and planks encourage not only tummy work and hip extension (counterposes for sitting), but also help you practice getting up and down from the floor — something research has correlated with longevity.

2. Go barefoot

The nerves on the bottom of your feet are even more receptive than those on your hands — but stuffing your feet into…

Huge props to the Priests that officiated the funeral at the church in 90 plus degrees with no AC.

These guys deserve Purple Hearts for wearing their layers of gowns and stuff through the funeral yesterday.   I was nervous that one of the older people would drop because there was no air movement at all and I consider myself healthy and could barely get a breath of air.  After the ceremony the priests were outside with just huge beads of sweat all over their heads.  Brutal conditions for a funeral.

Huge props to those priests.  Huge.

It’s a bajillion degrees out right now.  You know how smart people stay cool and hydrated?  They fill one of these bad boys up with ice and pound water all day.

You can spend $30 on a Yeti or be smart and buy an RTIC (basically the same thing but it says RTIC instead of Yeti) for an insanely cheap on sale price of $9.99 on amazon.

Here’s the link to purchase-

Rosewater Lemonade ~

Ayurveda Wellness Healing, LLC's avatarCape Ann Wellness

Summer heat…

The heat of the summer can provoke anger and irritability, especially when one is dehydrated. The mere smell of a rose cools ones anger and criticism.

Drinking Rose Water helps play in cooling Pitta (fire & water)… here is a recipe for Rosewater Lemonade, one of Ayurveda Wellness Healing, LLC go to summer drinks…

Rosewater Lemonade:

1/8 whole lemon
2 pinch Rose Water
2 c water
1 tsp Raw Sugar

Mix all ingredients together. Served cool as a lemonade or frozen as a sorbet. Enjoy!
