1946 Striped Bass Derby in Gloucester Question From Sylvia Teele Harper
The summer of 1946 marked my 12th birthday late august.
My Dad, John Teele, entered me in the under 12 years old age group of the Gloucester Striped Bass Derby which I won.
Is there any record in Gloucester of the Derby winners going back that far?
Any photos? My grandsons are very interested!
Thanks,
Sylvia Teele Harper

Cape Ann Shakespeare Troupe
Hey Joey,
This weekend in Littleton, MA, Theatre with a Twist’s production of "Peter
Pan" will get a little help from two Gloucester organizations and a local
sixth grader. Dylan Kerr will star as Peter Pan in the U.K. version of the
classic story by J.M. Barrie. You may have seen her in "Greasy Pole: The
Musical" this summer at The Annie as one of the 60’s mannequins and the
sulky 80’s teenager. She is very thankful to her Cape Ann theater mentors:
Henry Allen for his limitless support and warm welcome to Gloucester;
Rockport voice teacher Kristina Martin for training her for the role and
making her believe in herself; and especially Rockport’s Dona Lambert for
reminding her how to play and imagine and have fun. A big shout out to
Brenda Malloy from Imagine for letting practice a song at her birthday bash
and Jeannie Sullivan from The Last Stop for always lending an ear and
providing the pickles. There will be pirates and mermaids, sword fights and
flying!
Theatre with a Twist would like to thank Ocean Alliance and Maritime
Gloucester for outfitting Captain Hook’s ship.
Hope to see you there!
Amy Kerr

A great day for Gloucester and the O’Maley teams finished 3rd for the girls and 6th for the boys.

Trick-or-Treat on Main Street From Fred Bodin at Bodin Historic Photo!
I always have Halloween treats in the gallery for the little trick-or-treaters and their parents, who are often my customers. Older spooks and goblins come in later, and the Main Street dinner crowd arrives in the evening, when I might offer wine and cheese.
Andromeda Lammott represents, costumed as the Norse god Thor. She’s the daughter of Lucas and Vignette Lammott of Gloucester.
Zelda McKeen and her brother Harrison, dressed as the Fairy Princess and the Transformer "Bumble Bee." They are the children of Tanya and Jeremy McKeen of Gloucester.
