Too anyone who took the time to try to find an “Art, Rock!” please forgive me! it was all Joey’s idea! 🙂 I actually felt bad for the others who were looking for it. I Honestly don’t understand the intense interest in this “Art, rocks!” Thing. Others do. But I enjoy doing them. Thanks goes out to my “Art Sensei” Deb Clarke for helping my simple mind think outside the box! She’s an awesome Women and ARTIST! David “Doc” Vincent should feel lucky to have Such a woman! as his partner. Also my “GIRL” Cathy who’s my biggest supporter and supports my “craziness” that this blog has brought me into. she has help so many families endure their parents challenges in their time of need at Seacoast Nursing home. You should feel very Lucky to have a woman like my wife Catherine looking after your Parents, Grandparents and Family. Their aren’t too many around like her! She’ll probably be mad at me for saying that here. But her and people like her never get the recognition they deserve publicly! I thank them now, because you never know what will happen in your life. I could get hit by an ice cream truck tomorrow. Which wouldn’t be too bad of a thing as long as I had an ice cold creamsicle before it happens. 🙂

Thursday Nights Rock Found!
Thursday Nights Rock Found!
I left an “Art, Rock!” at the Fishermens Wives Statue Last Night. I thought it would be a fitting place for it on this Memorial Day weekend. Sometimes I feel like I’m Defacing these poor Ocean Rocks with my Sketches. This little one was Orange with some blue specks. Nice Complementary Colors. But anyways heres the email and Photos from the Person who found the Rock.
I think he found at least one other one with his Son Jack.
Josh’s Email;
“Talk about small. It took me a while but was thrilled to find it. Great work! I am a huge fan of art rocks. The last one I had my mother in law with me and we saw the person find it. We weren’t quick enough!
My wife and I were actually walking on the boulevard around the time
you left it. I didn’t see the post until I got home and couldn’t
resist. It took me a good 10 minutes to find it. I found it on my
last pass after actually walking to the white anchor and flower bed!
Not too many people were around at the time as it was starting to get
dark.
BTW: I found the quarter while looking for the rock! lol That’s how
hard I was looking!”

“Little Sandra” from Glenn AKA “Swimdad”
This is a great photo from Glenn. AKA “Swimdad” A Gloucester Fishermam now residing in the great State of California. Glenn is one on my biggest supporters when my posts get a little carried away. I always appreciate his support. Your right Glenn “we’re getting F’N Old!”
From Glenn AKA “Swimdad”;
Hi Paul; I have been trying to get this pic to you but had to wait till I got a new all in one printer. The person who took this got in touch with Matt and wanted to know if anyone would like copies back in 1978, never did get the persons name. That’s me on the left, Tommy in the middle, Matt on the winch and Skipper Mike in the pilot house.
Almost 33 years ago, boy are we getting fuck’n old
Glenn
Thanks again always for your support and this great Photo!

Time for a Science Lesson.
Just kidding! There won’t be a Test.
I’m guessing not many GMG Readers would be able to pass.
RUST!
From WIKIPEDIA;
“Oxidation of iron metal
When iron is in contact with water and oxygen, or other strong oxidants and/or acids, it rusts. If salt is present as, for example, in salt water, it tends to rust more quickly, as a result of the electro-chemical reactions. Iron metal is relatively unaffected by pure water or by dry oxygen. As with other metals, like aluminium, a tightly adhering oxide coating, a passivation layer, protects the bulk iron from further oxidation. Thus, the conversion of the passivating iron oxide layer to rust results from the combined action of two agents, usually oxygen and water. Other degrading solutions are sulfur dioxide in water and carbon dioxide in water. Under these corrosive conditions, iron hydroxide species are formed. Unlike iron oxides, the hydroxides do not adhere to the bulk metal. As they form and flake off from the surface, fresh iron is exposed, and the corrosion process continues until all of the iron is either consumed or all of the oxygen, water, carbon dioxide, or sulfur dioxide in the system are removed or consumed.[2]
